They’re in every save, every moment that matters. 911 dispatchers show up for us day in and day out, often without recognition. It’s important they always feel seen, but especially this week as NPSTW begins. Let’s make sure they know just how much they matter.💛🖤 #NPSTW #ThankYouDispatchers #TheHealthyDispatcher

The Healthy Dispatcher reposted this
A lesson some of us learn the hard way. I lost count of the number of times my mother told me "it's not what you say, but how you say it" as I was getting yelled at and pleading my innocence after getting myself in trouble.
The tone behind our words speaks volumes about our attitude. The way we say something gives insight into how we feel about the person we’re speaking to, the message itself, and even our own role in delivering that message. Tone provides context, shaping how our words are received and understood. So, I ask you this: "What does your tone say about your attitude as a coworker, trainer, leader, instructor, manager, etc.?" Learn more about this and find out if your tone speaks louder than your words in my latest Gold Line Truths blog at the link: https://lnkd.in/gJAemuFV Exacom, Inc.

New Blog Post: So You Want to Be a Dispatcher? Read This First. Think you’re ready for the chaos, caffeine, and casual conversations about bowel trauma over cold pizza at 3 a.m.? Bless your brave little heart. This brutally honest field guide breaks down what really happens when you trade your name for a headset and your sanity for shift work -- suspicious cows and frozen turkey standoffs included. Welcome to dispatch. It’s weirder -- and better -- than you think. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eSTizPZj

💆♀️Self-Care Sunday💆♂️ “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” - Lesson 4, Dispatcher Stress Stress isn’t just part of the job. It impacts every part of your body and can be fatal if left unchecked. From your heart and gut to your sleep and mood, chronic stress takes a serious toll. Take a moment today to breathe, rest, and reset. You can’t show up for others if you’re running on empty. #SelfCareSunday #TheHealthyDispatcher #BeatTheBurnout #DispatcherWellness
