🌐 The strength of Europe’s semiconductor industry is built on collaboration. Within APECS, ten partners from eight countries are working together to build a resilient and innovative European semiconductor ecosystem. Their expertise and commitment ensure that Europe remains at the forefront of microelectronics, with access to technologie that drive progress. One of these APECS partners is the INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory from Portugal, a leading research organization aiming to perform cutting-edge research and development in nanotechnology and to function as an innovation integrator in multiple application domains. ⏩ Ricardo Ferreira, Group Leader of the Spintronics Research Group at INL recently highlighted APECS’s role in shaping Portugal´s semiconductor sector within the broader Chips for Europe Initiative mainly implemented through Chips Joint Undertaking . This reflects Europe´s commitment to reinforcing its position in an increasingly competitive global market. By working beyond national borders, APECS accelerates advances in heterogeneous integration and chiplet technologies, which is key to a stronger, more independent European semiconductor supply chain. The contributions of INL and our entire consortium of partners demonstrates the power of collaboration in securing Europe’s technological future.
