As IRA holders chart their financial planning, it's imperative to understand how to effectively allocate Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs). Whether you're a charitably minded individual or a financial planner guiding your clients, feeling comfortable with RMDs is essential. We talked with CooksonPeirce Regional Managing Director Janelle Woods, CFP®, MBA about the impact you can have with charitable giving through your RMD. https://lnkd.in/etMmiHuy

The RACE + DISABILITY initiative continues to be an example of how we can partner with terrific organizations to help guide our nonprofit community in these important areas. Thank you, Keri Gray, FISA Foundation and The Heinz Endowments for your continued collaboration and leadership.
The Beyond Diversity program for nonprofit leaders in southwestern PA, co-sponsored by FISA Foundation, The Pittsburgh Foundation, and The Heinz Endowments as part of the Race and Disability initiative, held the final leadership cohort session this morning. As always, program facilitator and disability advocate Keri Gray, did a fantastic job guiding a thoughtful and thought provoking discussion and it was wonderful to hear from three of the cohort participants who shared details of the projects they have been working on for the past seven months. I feel very lucky to be able to participate in and support this work of racial justice and disability justice.

It doesn’t take a million dollars to become a philanthropist. Nor does it require sizable influence or the backing of a mega-corporation with ample staff and resources at your disposal. Forbes explains why and why a community foundation like ours makes it easy to get in the game. https://lnkd.in/eV7H_Xfb #philanthropy
