AI Personas are the foundation of what we do – creating authentic brand CHARACTERS that engage with customers in a completely new way. We call them "Personas" because they truly personify a brand's voice, values, and personality – taking the concept of a character and making it work for business. Take Nutcase Nick, who we created for TPJ: The Perfect Jean. The magic of Nick is that he's 100% authentic to TPJ's brand voice – irreverent, slightly provocative, and focused on comfort where it counts. He's not trying to be all things to all people. We've seen INCREDIBLE engagement with Nick. About 15% of customers who start chatting with him through SMS end up having extended conversations (4+ messages). They KNOW he's AI, but they still connect with him. Basically, we've found that when you build Personas that truly embody a brand's personality – not just their knowledge base – customers respond. It transforms support from a transaction into a relationship. Now we're connecting these Personas wherever your customers are to drive sales and automate engagement – SMS, email, web, and more. One consistent brand voice across every channel, ready to chat 24/7.

    I Grow Companies | Not a Forbes 30 Under 30

F*** your khakis . Had a wardrobe overhaul this weekend. Shoutout to TPJ: The Perfect Jean for making clothes with amazing high quality materials and simply fit well for the modern dude. Huge fan of their shirts which are made from an organic cotton and light spandex blend, and have a solid cut around the sleeves and torso, so when I go out with the boys and eat a bit too much, I’m not feeling uncomfortable. Also the pricing is solid especially when you start bundling. The jeans are the star of the show. The washes are solid, nothing flashy but they do have some ripped options. I’m a simple t shirt and jeans guy, so it worked for my minimalist style. would 10/10 reccomend

Top A/B testing voice 👩🏻🔬| 16 yrs in eComm | CEO at Visually, Shopify's largest brands go-to platform for high-impact testing and personalization

300+ tests & 20+ tests running simultaneously at any given time. Josh Marcy leads eCom at The Perfect Jean. Having previously worked at Manscaped and True Classic, Josh is passionate about scaling brands using digital experiences backed by data and creative thinking. When Google Optimize was sunset in 2023, The Perfect Jean went searching… The goal was to find a solution that would serve their ambitious development roadmap, but with the agility needed to test and optimize on the fly. Visually offered The Perfect Jean a way to: 1️⃣ Run dozens of simultaneous A/B tests 2️⃣ Create hyper-personalized shopping experiences 3️⃣ Analyze their experiences with a robust reporting page But no less important, The Perfect Jean was able to consolidate their onsite tech stack, leveraging Visually to also replace their product recommendations, upsells and post-purchase apps, as well as to centralize all on-site testing in one platform. This not only slashed costs, but also meaningfully improved overall site speed. With close to a decade of CRO expertise, Josh uses Visually to run upwards of 20 experiments at any given time, constantly increasing conversion rate, AOV and LTV. Here are some of his personal favorites: 1️⃣ 100% Satisfaction Guarantee: The Perfect Jean’s free 30-day returns were displayed in a dropdown on product pages. Changing the language to “100% Satisfaction Guarantee” increased conversion rate by 3.4%. The best part? Took just 90 seconds to set up. 2️⃣ Post-Purchase Upsells: Migrating upsells to Visually allowed for greater testing and personalization. Testing different offers led to a breakthrough: showing shoppers more of what they’d already purchased resulted in an 18.6% conversion rate - a massive jump from the previous 1.8% rate with their previous provider. 3️⃣ Product Page Videos: Engaging [and humorous] videos were seemingly a hit on product pages, but Josh wanted data to back up their value. Testing confirmed a 3.3% boost in conversion rate and a 4.5% increase in revenue per session. Now, Josh uses Visually to evaluate every third party app to ensure it delivers measurable results. 4️⃣ Sizing Tips: Sizing uncertainty is a major roadblock for apparel brands. Visually recommended adding a simple tip: “Not sure / in between sizes? We suggest sizing down.” This simple addition drove a 4.5% increase in conversion rate. One of the longest and most proficient users of Visually, Josh is also technically savvy, which allows him to leverage Visually’s code editor for more advanced experience building alongside the fantastic team at Softlimit. (Ben Lord & Lea Kalani 🙌 ) It has been such a pleasure working with you, Ovadia Labaton, and the entire TPJ team. As one of our first customers, you will always have a special place in our heart. - ✋ Hey, I’m Anya, the CEO of Visually 🤝 I (usually) write about data driven optimization 🛎️ Follow me → Anya Geimanson ← for more on A/B testing and personalization #Shopify

🤔 What’s the #1 skill performance creatives need to master? For Ovadia Labaton (Co-Founder, TPJ: The Perfect Jean), it’s simple: everyone needs to know how to WRITE.✍️ Why? Because even in our AI-driven, video-first world: - You need to write compelling scripts - You need to craft engaging stories - You need to make boring products fascinating Ovadia even suggested his team join Toastmasters. Why? Because selling jeans in a market flooded with thousands of jean ads takes something special: the ability to make the ordinary extraordinary. Think about it: Your audience has seen countless ads for products just like yours. They’ve heard every pitch. They’ve scrolled past thousands of messages. The difference between blending in and standing out? It’s not just your visuals or targeting… It’s your ability to write something that makes them stop scrolling. Want to learn how to write endless compelling scripts? Check out my upcoming live course, Building Ads with Barry (🔗 in comments)

Growing Businesses With Ugly Ads, Streamlined Execution, and Deep Consumer Empathy

🤔 How do you build creative operations and incentives to prevent “ads looking identical” and “bad iteration loops”? Ovadia Labaton (Co-Founder, TPJ: The Perfect Jean): “I’ve never been about iterations. My approach? Make new ads constantly. We have four different agencies, get four different perspectives, make four different styles. We keep mixing it up and rarely say no – we let creativity fly. Then, we pick the best ones to test.” Join my free LIVE webinar tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, 12-2pm EST for more tips on how to avoid “iteration paralysis” in your ad creation process for 2025! This is us at TPJ: The Perfect Jean literally NOT launching black friday until evvvvvveryone else did :) We waited and watched (and had great full margin performance) and waited and watched and waited and watched. WEEKS PASSED! Only Public Rec unofficially joined us (we don't know each other), patiently keeping us company in that Betelgeuse waiting room holding our numbers, crossing day after day off our calendars, just hanging. Our Slack: "Should we launch today?! Nah, PR is still holding out. We can't abandon them! HOLD!" (thank you our new friends for the unintentional time spent together) Only Vuori still holding out lol You need Jeans and you need Tees. We just made you wait because it's ridiculous to run a sale for 1/12th of the year when you have an exceptional product and everyday reasonable prices. Waiting is 11/10ths of the battle. Enjoy shopping everyone. TPJ Black Friday launches at midnight tonight (i dont know how to properly insert gifs here so its just a link to giphy) Zachary Arnold Simeon Siegel, CFA Madan Bharadwaj Jordan Salvit Rahul Issar Lauren Fagan Archit Batlaw

Stop fighting attribution. Start understanding it.

We consulted 15 retention experts with 52+ years of collective experience so you don’t have to. Here are the top takeaways: Retention boils down to 3 things: - Have a quality product people love. There’s no gimmick to get around this  - Make it easy to buy and return - Make it a great experience for every customer—especially in the post-purchase stage. Even those who are not happy Creating an exceptional experience is nuanced and often highly specific. That's why we consulted with each expert, gathering their top tips for crafting unforgettable post-purchase experiences. A few of my favorites: 1. Marketing Mix Models (MMM) offer dynamic updates on channel performance, while post-purchase surveys gather direct customer insights. Together, they enhance attribution accuracy, identify effective channels, and guide confident budget decisions. 2. Collection pages displaying products in a 2x2 grid minimize scrolling and highlight best sellers using cognitive biases to guide customer choices. 3. Adding "Add to Cart" buttons directly on collection pages makes it easier for repeat customers to purchase. 4. Email and SMS can’t be treated the same; instead, use SMS for high-value, timely messages, exclusive access, and order updates. 5. User Generated Content (UGC) is out, Customer Generated Content (CGC) is in. Launch CGC contests to engage customers to create genuine content, incentivize participation with rewards, and amplify reach through their shares. I wish I could dive into each tip more and share all 15, but this post would continue forever. Instead, we took all the learnings and created a 70+ page guide called "Beyond the Checkout.” ✅ 500 words per chapter ✅ Never-seen-before data ✅ Clear and actionable takeaways Tl;dr: Don’t just focus on the "wedding" with customers—think about the "marriage."
