The Lemelson Foundation has long championed #inventors and #entrepreneurs who tackle critical societal challenges. And, #climatechange is undeniably one of the most pressing issues of our time. At Elemental Impact, we're seeing the very essence of that mission in action: entrepreneurs harnessing ingenuity to forge a sustainable future. From revolutionizing energy systems to transforming agriculture for resilience, these innovators are building the solutions our world desperately needs. We hope to see you in #SanFrancisco on April 22 for Elemental Impact's "Elemental Interactive and Traversing the Scale Gap" event, where we'll get to witness this transformative power firsthand. Members of our team will be engaging with the bold leaders scaling climate tech, and diving deep into the strategic financing of first-of-a-kind and early infrastructure projects – the critical bridges to widespread adoption. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gt5XF4_r. We at the Foundation believe that supporting these ventures isn't just an investment, it's an investment in a habitable planet. We believe in the power of invention to change the world, and Elemental Interactive is where that belief becomes reality. #ClimateTech #Sustainability #Innovation #ElementalInteractive2025 #Invention #Entrepreneurship #ImpactInvesting #SustainableFuture #InventionforGood #InventingforGood Joel Clement, Camila Thorndike

We're excited to follow the invention journey of Jason Kang and his fellow co-founders of Kinnos, who also won the Lemelson-MIT Program Student Prize in 2016 when they were undergraduate students at Columbia University. They successfully took their innovative disinfectant technology to market to help improve health for everyone. Katherine Jin Kevin Tyan, MD #invention #Inventor #medtech
🧐 How can startups scale effectively while staying true to their mission? We asked Jason Kang, co-founder and CEO of Kinnos, to reflect on his journey from student entrepreneur to leading a globally recognized medtech company. He shared key insights on network building, securing funding, and advancing innovation in the healthcare sector. 🔬 See what every early-stage founders should know → https://bit.ly/4hY88vZ

🪴 We were delighted to see this news report about the elementary school named in honor of our co-founder, Dolly Lemelson, where students learned about the food cycle in their community by getting their hands dirty. Third graders at the Dorothy Lemelson STEM Academy met with volunteer gardening experts from the University of Nevada, Reno Extension program, who helped the students make the connection between the science of agriculture, the food in their community, and the meals on their plates. “They get excited about it and want to do the learning,” says STEM Coordinator Kris Hugdal about the hands-on approach. “It creates that joy for them to want to learn more about the topic.” Watch the “Lessons in the Dirt” segment on KOLO-TV 8 News Now ABC to see how real-world activities like these are planting the seeds of STEM — and nurturing essential skills in our students: https://lnkd.in/eeuiSpTs #InventionEducation #STEMLearning #STEMEducation #innovation #invention #education #InventionEducation #K12
