    Business owners: consider this your cybersecurity wake-up call. Here’s the harsh truth most SMBs won’t admit: You are the best target. Not big tech. Not government agencies. Not “someone else.” Small and mid-sized businesses are cybercriminals’ sweet spot. Why? → You store sensitive data → You move fast (but not always securely) → You often don’t think you’re a target → You don’t have the resources larger organizations do to implement solid security Here’s what I wish more CEOs, founders, and ops leaders understood: Hackers don’t target companies because they’ve heard of them. They use tools to scan the internet for smaller companies with valuable data—then use automation and AI to attack them. It’s basic math: Expected Profit = Payout × Probability of a Successful Hack Sure, the payouts from SMBs are smaller—maybe $500K to $1M versus $5–10M from an enterprise—but large organizations can be 100x harder to break into. SMBs offer six-figure payouts with a fraction of the effort. But here’s the kicker: You don’t need a million-dollar budget to stay secure. You need a strategy. And a partner who actually cares. So here’s my free advice: ✅ Turn on MFA for everything (email, bank, apps). Skip SMS-based MFA. ✅ Get your backups off-site—and test them quarterly. ✅ Implement strong phishing protection for your email. ✅ Do a quarterly access audit (who still has access that shouldn’t?).     Windows 11 is packed with time-saving tricks, but let’s be honest - most of us only scratch the surface of what it can do. If you’re still using it the same way you used Windows 10, you’re missing out on some seriously cool (and useful) features. Here are three hidden gems 💎 that can make your workday smoother, whether you’re tackling invoices, dealing with a frozen app, or just looking to speed things up… 💨 1️⃣ Copy text from images (no extra software needed) 🖼️✂️ Ever had to copy text from an image or a PDF but wished you didn’t have to type it all out manually? Windows 11’s built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature can do it for you. 👉 Just open Snipping Tool, take a screenshot, and extract text from it instantly - you don’t even need to be online. 👉 Need to scan a QR code on your screen? You can do that too; no need to pull out your phone. 👉 The Phone Link and Photos apps also have OCR support, so you can grab text from images synced from your phone. This is SO helpful for handling invoices, receipts, and documents that won’t let you copy and paste. 2️⃣ Instantly quit a frozen app from the Taskbar ❌🚀 We’ve all been there: You’re using an app, it freezes up… and you find yourself faffing around with Task Manager. But what if I told you there’s now a faster way to kill unresponsive apps? 👉 First, enable the "End Task" option for the Taskbar in Developer Mode (we can help with this if you’re not sure how to use it). 👉 Then, the next time an app locks up, just right-click the app on the Taskbar and select “End Task”. That’s it. No need to dig through Task Manager or use Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Just a one-click fix and you can get back to work. 3️⃣ Manage apps faster with your keyboard ⌨️⚡ Ever wished for an easier way to open or switch between apps, without having to use your mouse? Try these shortcuts: 👉 Win + Any Number - Instantly launch or switch to the app pinned in that position on your Taskbar (e.g., Win + 1 opens your first pinned app). 👉 Win + T - Activate Taskbar Focus mode, letting you select pinned apps using just your keyboard. Press the first letter of an app’s name to highlight it, then hit Enter to launch. If you’re juggling multiple apps all day, this can save you a ton of clicks and wasted time.     Does your business have a WordPress website? Then heads up on something important. 🚨 Cyber criminals are using thousands of hacked WordPress sites to spread malware that can steal passwords, credit card info, and other sensitive data. 😱 WordPress is a popular tool for building websites. It’s easy to use and powers 43% of all sites on the net, from personal blogs to full-blown business sites. But that popularity also makes it a big, juicy target for attackers. Cyber criminals are finding outdated WordPress sites or plugins (which are like little apps that add features to your site) and exploiting the vulnerability to break in. Once inside, they replace parts of the site with fake content designed to trick visitors into downloading malware. Here’s how the scam usually plays out: 1. You visit a compromised WordPress site. 2. A fake Chrome update page suddenly appears, saying you need to download something to view the content. 3. If you download that “update”, you’re installing malware. Oops. It’s a bit like getting a box that says “new phone” on the outside but inside… there’s a giant spider. 🕷️ No thank you. The WordPress attacks involve these two malware strains: 🦠 SocGholish: This one’s for Windows. It’s designed to steal passwords, login details, and other personal info right off your PC. 🦠 Atomic Stealer: This targets Mac computers. It can swipe usernames, passwords, crypto wallets, and even session cookies. It’s what’s known as “malware-as-a-service”, meaning cyber criminals pay a subscription fee to use it. Like Netflix, but evil. 😑 The worst part? This attack doesn’t target anyone specific. It’s a “spray and pray” tactic, aiming to infect as many devices as possible. With more than 10,000 sites already compromised, the odds aren’t exactly in your favor. To keep your business safe, never download anything from a website unless you’re 100% sure it’s legit. No normal site should ever ask you to download a “browser update” just to view content. That’s a big red flag. 🚩 If your business has a WordPress site, make sure it’s up to date. Attackers love outdated plugins and old versions of WordPress, because they’re easy to exploit. Make sure you’re using strong security software on all your devices – whether they’re Windows or Mac. Yes, Macs can get viruses. The whole “Macs don’t get malware” thing is a total myth. 🤔 Has it been a while since you updated your website or ran a security check?
