As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we are shining a spotlight on Heading Home, a leading provider of emergency shelter and housing for families in Massachusetts. Our team was honored to participate in the organization's Up & Out Day, outfitting a new apartment for a mother and her son as they moved out of a shelter. We only had a few hours to get everything ready — and it was a total surprise for them. Suffolk's own Christina Mustone DaVeiga has a peek behind the scenes. Our Suffolk teams across the country welcomed some very special guests today for National Bring Your Child to Work Day! Across all our national offices and some of our jobsites, parents had the opportunity to bring their children along to dive into the world of construction for a day. Each child got to participate in hands-on building activities and learn more about the exciting things their parents are building each day here at Suffolk. Thank you to the parents who brought their children in today; we loved seeing their smiling faces and answering their questions! #BringYourKidToWorkDay

Suffolk's Aviation & Transportation Center of Excellence is thrilled to announce an exciting project win in the Northeast Region: the North Service Area Optimization Project at Boston Logan International Airport. Partnering with Massachusetts Port Authority, STV and AECOM, this project will include several major elements, including repurposing the airport's current green bus depot; consolidating aviation support facilities in a new large vehicle support and maintenance building; relocating service and catering vehicles from the public street side to the airside, which will reduce overall vehicle miles traveled; constructing a coastal flood resiliency berm that will benefit the airport and nearby neighborhood; and, to further achieve Massport’s sustainability goals, repurposing an existing building and replacing antiquated infrastructures. The new facilities will be LEED certified and implement sustainable design elements to further Massport's goal to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2031. Our team has constructed more than 4 million square feet at Logan Airport over the years, and we are excited to continue our valued partnership with Massport on this significant project.

Congratulations to Suffolk New York Director of Digital Engineering Denis Leff, who was recently named by City & State New York to its inaugural “Trailblazers in Construction” list. This list highlights construction industry leaders who are advancing major projects, driving innovation, influencing public policy and reshaping the construction landscape of New York City. The spotlight on Denis highlights his transformative approach to construction, his early advocacy for using data and artificial intelligence, and his development of the Live Dimensions solution that streamlines the tracking of steel deliveries and assembly on jobsites. Suffolk is proud to announce the official opening of our Las Vegas office, expanding our West Region capabilities and supporting the growing demand for innovative construction solutions in the Gaming and Hospitality sectors. To lead Suffolk's strategic expansion and operations in the region, Suffolk has welcomed Chris Anderson as Las Vegas General Manager. Chris joins Suffolk with over 40 years of business development, financial management and pre-construction executive experience, bringing regional expertise and strong relationships in the gaming sector. Chris will work closely with Peter Tuffo, President of Suffolk's Gulf Coast Region and National Gaming. The establishment of a Las Vegas office further positions Suffolk at the epicenter of the gaming industry, where our National Gaming & Hospitality Center of Excellence will continue to successfully deliver complex, large-scale projects that bring significant value for clients. We just concluded Suffolk's second annual Ops Ex Tournament of Champions, our national quiz show that tests team members on their knowledge of all things Suffolk standards. Exciting news: Suffolk Southeast has topped off our iconic Ritz-Carlton Residences, Naples project! The team was proud to celebrate this milestone alongside our valued partners at STOCK Development, GROH Architecture, and the many trade partners who have supported this project. Upon completion, this will be the first Ritz-Carlton Residences in Naples and will deliver 128 stunning residences and exclusive amenities including a 22-slip marina, verdant park with walking trails, a putting green, and The Vanderbilt Club, a spectacular 28,000-square-foot club with a Grand Owner's atrium and lobby lounge, business center, private restaurant, and state-of-the-art fitness center and spa. Suffolk San Francisco Project Executive Ann-Marie Jennette recently spoke on a panel at the Bisnow San Francisco Multifamily and Affordable Housing Conference. Ann-Marie's panel, titled "Affordable Housing Solutions: Bridging the Supply and Demand Gap," explored strategies for delivering higher quality units, accelerating housing production timelines and leveraging partnerships to alleviate the discrepancy between housing supply and demand in California and beyond. The conference overall focused on development and investment trends, capital markets, innovative construction and design, site selection, and strategies for maximizing multifamily asset values.
