In March of 1985, our wonderful colleague Mary Kae Lindsey joined the Chateau Ste. Michelle team – and she has been delighting guests and wine club members ever since, 40 years and counting. “When asked what I do for a living, I say I'm a cheerleader for Washington wines, an evangelist for Chateau Ste. Michelle, committed to making sure you, our friends – who are family – know how much we appreciate you taking this journey with us, and making sure you get to fully enjoy the best we have to offer. Away from the winery I am an actor, a mom to two fantastic girls, wife to a prince of a guy, and a lover of well told stories, music and travel. I have the privilege of knowing many of our guests, and I look forward to meeting many more, and spending quality time together in the days ahead!” Congratulations on 40 years, Mary Kae! Our Chateau Ste. Michelle team came together to inspire their inner winemakers and test their palates at our recent employee red wine blend session. 🍷 They formed teams with colleagues and channeled our winemakers to see if their blends could win over our judges -- Shawn Conway and Anna Mosier. The Relentless Renegades came out on top with that perfect combo of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Was their blend just right or was it their energy and that creative food pairing that did the trick? Nobody knows. 😉 Maybe a combo of all three. A visit to Chateau Ste. Michelle to sample wines and tour the historic grounds just isn’t complete without enjoying a meal prepared by our Executive Chef Meghan Morrill. For Chef Meghan, bringing people together over food and wine is a passion that drives her creation of both unexpected gourmet meals and classics like a winemaker’s cheeseburger and fries or heritage flatbread. Chef Meghan’s career in the culinary arts has taken her from back of house operations for a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, to event coordination with Myriad Restaurant Group in New York, to leading cooking classes at Sur La Table in Seattle – all fueling her constant desire to learn, experiment, and grow. Traits we see reflected in new experiences she and her colleagues have recently created for guests like the 5-course Somm's Table food and wine pairing. 🍷 “I love the ability to crush people’s perceptions about wine and food. Our guests should walk away with a new appreciation for a varietal based on the dish they enjoyed with it.” We’re thankful to have you on the team, Meghan. Keep crushing it!

Word is spreading about our Chateau Ste. Michelle LIGHT Sauvignon Blanc – which was recently named as one of the 3 top high-scoring low-calorie sauvignon blancs by Lettie Teague in The Wall Street Journal. We introduced this LIGHT wine last year as a refreshing go-to for those looking for lighter wines that still deliver on quality and taste. Lettie shared, “This 80-calorie, 9% alcohol, ‘Zero Sugar’ white from Washington’s Chateau Ste. We’ve been blending up something special for our Riesling fans. Ernst Loosen from Dr. Loosen Estate in Germany recently met up with our winemaker Katie Nelson to blend the 2024 vintage of Eroica at Chateau Ste. Michelle. This epic partnership has been going strong for 25 years and continues to produce Rieslings that combine old world traditions with the new world terroir. You can sample the 2024 vintage next fall – for now, enjoy our 2023 Eroica, Eroica Single Berry Select and Eroica XLC – all wines designed to showcase the beautiful expressions and versatility of Riesling.
