Many of you are probably familiar with the Techstars accelerator. But not everyone knows that they have a dedicated program for space startups in collaboration with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory managed by Matt Kozlov. Today at Space Ambition, we reviewed a portfolio of 44 SpaceTech startups backed by Techstars. 11 of them have raised over $5M in total funding. 16 startups received Techstars funding in 2024, 10 in 2023, and 18 between 2016 and 2022. American Kestrel delegations deploy to areas across the country and around the world, seeking opportunities for American business and innovation to have an outsized impact on supporting U.S. national security strategy and priorities. In December of 2024, following engagements in Poland, Ukraine, Australia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the Southwest border and others, a delegation of select industry leaders traveled to Panama to assess the nexus of business and security in this critical AOR. Over the course of a week, our delegates met with with Panamanian defense, security and commercial leadership, Panamanian business, innovation and technology leaders, as well as American defense, diplomatic, and commercial representatives from U.S. Embassy Panama. Our group of advanced technology, manufacturing, and security executives assessed opportunities for the private sector to align and support broader U.S. national security priorities in Panama and the broader LATAM region. Today, as Secretary Rubio and team are in Panama to conduct their first formal overseas visit, our delegation reaffirms our core finding: that U.S. private sector technology, services, manufacturing, and other capabilities will be a vital tool for U.S. Gov stakeholders to achieve their security objectives in Panama and to coordinate effectively with our Panamanian partners. From countering Chinese encroachment around the Panama Canal and other critical infrastructure, to supporting Panama's efforts to curb northbound mass migration at its southern border, vetted U.S. industry solutions stand ready to engage. We ended 2024 in a BIG way! When most companies closed for the holidays, we decided to MOVE. That's right- we are at a NEW location! Solideon is still in Berkeley, but we now have 2x the space. The best part? We officially have our own parking lot. Shoutout to our INCREDIBLE team for putting this facility together in record time! Part of the growth? We've built Cell 2 and have gone from four to seven robots! Here's to leading the new Industrial Revolution in 2025!
