💼 Workforce development begins with creating clear pathways to employment for young people In our partnership with World YMCA and Generation Unlimited, we worked across 12 countries to understand how innovative finance can unlock better outcomes for underserved youth. As we developed six high-potential financial mechanisms, three themes stood out: 🌱 Green jobs are a powerful pathway but only if we invest in skills training now. There’s a growing gap between climate ambition and workforce readiness. Mechanisms like the Green Jobs Outcome Fund and Green Employment Income Share Agreements aim to make green careers accessible, especially for youth who’ve historically been excluded. 🛠️ Refugee and migrant youth bring vision and drive but lack financing tools to match. Blended finance platforms like the Youth Aspirational Skill Loan Fund can unlock talent by reducing risk for lenders while empowering young people to pursue meaningful training and entrepreneurship, regardless of their background or status. 🤝 Employers must play a bigger role in training and hiring youth. We need to move beyond siloed programs. The Youth Employment Impact Bond and Impact-Linked Business Loan Fund help align incentives between youth, service providers, and employers—so job creation becomes a shared responsibility, not an afterthought. 📘 Explore the Summary of Findings: https://bit.ly/445kYp5 ✉️ Contact us (hello@secondmusecapital.com) if you’re ready to co-design with us #youthopportunity #employerengagement #socialfinance #impactinvesting #YMCA #LearningToEarning #FutureEconomyLab #innovativefinance
