The Medical University of South Carolina was delighted to attend an AI roundtable hosted by the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, earlier this month. Alongside fellow research institutions, South Carolina policy makers and representatives from various state government departments, this AI roundtable focused on discussing outcomes that will shape the future of the state’s AI development, and in turn, the impact on the community. For MUSC, we continue to define new and more effective health care delivery models that will expand access, enhance patient care, fuel innovation and build the SC knowledge-based economy. MUSC is committed to leveraging the power of AI to help lead new models of health care delivery like our Integrated Innovation Institutes, beginning with the MUSC Neuroscience & Brain Health Institute, as well as growing the SC knowledge-based economy with Blue Sky labs and the launch of the Innovation District. I am excited to see the further integration of AI into South Carolina for the improvement of our economy and community members throughout the entirety of the state.
