Nearly 45% of novice teachers in the South leave their schools within the first five years. Too many new educators feel overwhelmed, unsupported and ill-equipped, leaving students without the teachers they need, says Amanda Merritt, SREB. A high-quality induction program can make the difference—offering mentorship, coaching and professional learning that keeps great teachers in the classroom. SREB is releasing a new evidence-based guidance for schools and districts called the SREB Teacher Induction Framework in the spring. Stay tuned! Today, learn how strategic teacher induction programs can retain talented educators and improve student success: https://ow.ly/k6Yn50Vo1W5
