It's a red-letter day at REFASHIOND Ventures: The Industrial Transformation Fund. We are happy to share the news that Triumph Financial, Inc. is acquiring Greenscreens.ai, our 10th investment - made in Q12022. Quoting from the press release; "Under the terms of the agreement, Triumph will acquire Greenscreens.ai for $140 million in cash and $20 million in TFIN stock. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals, and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2025. J.P. Morgan is serving as financial advisor and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz is acting as legal counsel to Triumph Financial in connection with the transaction. DLA Piper is acting as legal counsel to Greenscreens.ai in connection with the transaction." Dawn (Salvucci) Favier and the team at Greenscreens have done a phenomenal job; I remember being in the audience at the BG Strategic Advisors Supply Chain Conference in 2023 and getting goosebumps when I saw her speak about the work the team is doing. I believe Triumph Financial will provide a great foundation on which Dawn and the team can continue to build the vision and fulfill the mission that led me and Lisa Morales-Hellebo to back them with our brand of #ObsessiveEnthusiasm. We feel honored and humbled when any founders choose to accept REFASHIOND as an investor - they are taking a bet on us just as much as we are taking a bet on them. By monitoring processes like welding, cutting, machining and other complex and vital processes in real time, AutoMetrics facilitates real time quality control (QC) monitoring that improves upon existing sampling-based approaches to QC. Investment Rationale: Most Industrial Quality Control is done manually, by sampling batches of products. While this has been the state of the art, it is inadequate because quality control inspectors cannot inspect every item that is manufactured - they can only sample a small proportion of manufactured products.
