Restored. We are so happy that the picture of Mother Xavier Ross is hanging again at the Providence Front Entrance A. While our Plant Operations department completed some painting and other work to enhance our lobby’s appearance in our Main Lobby, we noticed that the picture of Mother Xavier Ross that greeted visitors near our front door had faded due to light exposure. Well, look at her now! Thanks to the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Marc Carver photography and Studio 7 Fine Art & Custom Frame, we have a beautifully restored photo. She reminds us, “Look forward to the good that is yet to be.”

Quick thinking saves a life! Thanks to the quick actions of Terion, an LPN on our 6th floor, a routine patient discharge turned into a lifesaving intervention. She is our recent Great Catch recipient, nominated by Cardiologist Dr. Katrapati. He got to join our leadership group via an online meeting to present her with this special award. Our PACU team recently nominated WOW winner, Gerald from Environmental Services, for his efforts to improve the appearance of our PACU department where patients recover from surgery. They wrote that “he has spent a lot of time on the floors in PACU and has stepped in to do the floor technician’s work.” His efforts have greatly improved the appearance of the PACU, and staff and patients have noticed. After 46 amazing years of compassion and care, Pam Klee has retired from her nursing career at Providence. Pam supported countless moms and new babies in Wyandotte County on our former maternity unit. She most recently was a nurse on our Med Surg units. We thanked Pam at a celebration today. We wish her all the best in her new chapter!
