Love reading this about the condensed version of the full training that we deliver as part of the Insurance Breakfast Club programme. It has equipped these amazing technical experts with the skills & confidence to speak at industry events & - as you can hear from expert speaker Caroline Bedford here - they are all conference ready! We are bringing together a directory of all the qualified speakers we've trained, so if you need a new perspective, do get in touch & we will connect you with fresh, fascinating voices from across the industry. And if you'd like to hone your speaking skills, we will run our next open programme in Q1 so get in touch for all the details. #PanelDiscussion #IBCAlumni #PublicSpeaking
Alongside Alice Boreman and Katie Moore, yesterday, I had the absolute privilege of mentoring the Insurance Breakfast Club's current cohort as their development culminated in a live mini-conference at EY's More London event space. To say I was blown away is an understatement. This is my 5th year of mentoring the participants, and the quality is just exceptional. I heard women from Insurers and Brokers give insight into client relationships, business development, exposure management, claims operations, legal counsel, underwriting evolution and more. Event and conference managers - there is NO NEED to scout around for speakers with fresh perspective - the Insurance Breakfast Club has an abundance of super-talented, highly relevant Insurance experts who have a message to share. Let's get them heard. The companies that are investing in their women to join this programme - hats off to you. Companies that are not - you should be. Congratulations to everyone who presented yesterday. You are exceptional. Progressive Panels reposted this
"If you don't want to do something, this is the clear sign that you should do it". This is one of the many takeaway messages from this panel session ... and that also echoed what I felt before going onstage to exchange about career progression in a changing market, earlier this month. But I didn't regret getting out of my comfort zone and couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me to attend such an interesting event. Thank you to Insurance Breakfast Club, Katherine Bryant, Sharon Morse, and Charlotte Giambrone for their help in preparing us for this session and to EY for welcoming us into their gorgeous offices. These created the perfect environment to have this first-time experience. Also, thank you to Rachel Turk, Hannah Ebbitt-Ngang, David Clamp, Carla Jordan and Kirsty Plank for their insightful feedback. And finally, sharing this experience with brilliant women like Claire Holland, Hannah-Minna Razzak and Hannah Conner was the cherry on top. I couldn't recommend more to sign up for this kind of training and put yourself out there. #womenininsurance #londonmarket #professionaldevelopment
