On 4 April, PRESERVE hosted its first international workshop on #CivilSecurity and Proactive #ThreatDetection and Prevention. The workshop was held in conjunction with the project’s second face-to-face meeting in Athens and took place in a hybrid setting. The half-day workshop explored opportunities to align efforts, share knowledge, strengthen cooperation, and coordinate joint actions between the participating initiatives. A number of areas for collaboration were identified, and we look forward to turning these ideas into action and keeping the momentum going - through future workshops and other cluster activities. A BIG thank you to all participants - whether in person, online, or via video - from our sister projects and related initiatives for the excellent presentations, valuable insights into their project work, and the fruitful discussions. We are pleased to share that #PRESERVEprojectEU was among the selected projects presented at the Plenary Meeting of the Spanish Community of Security Users (CoU Spain), which took place on 18 February in Madrid. The event was organised by the Spanish delegation in Cluster 3, led by CDTI INNOVATION, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior (SGSICS). As part of the FCT session, Ángela Freiría López from the project’s coordinator Gradiant, had the opportunity to showcase PRESERVE to key stakeholders, including Spanish law enforcement agencies (LEAs), research centers, universities, and private companies. This session provided a platform to highlight the project's key objectives and engage directly with experts in the field. Excited to announce the first international workshop on 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 organised by #PRESERVEprojectEU on 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA). The workshop will bring together representatives from PRESERVE Sister Projects and related initiatives, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), EU support organisations as well as NGOs and civil society groups representing victims.
