We are delighted to share that our young researchers, Shuvam Sharma and Jene Shrestha, along with Sumitra Poudel from our collaborating partner, Women Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC), delivered oral and poster presentations highlighting findings from a pilot family-based intervention at the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) Forum. The forum is one of the world's key research conferences on violence against women and children, held from October 21 - 25, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa. Our pilot study aimed to develop and test the family-based intervention, involving three key family members (women, husband, and mother-in-law) designed to address domestic violence and mental health among married women. You can learn more about the study by reading our research briefs available here: https://lnkd.in/gEA8raWJ. #Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) #SVRIForum24 #MentalHealth
