The keys to navigating the city like you actually belong here: 🔹 5th Ave divides East from West - addresses start at 1 on both sides and increase as you move away 🔹 Avenue traffic flows: • East Side: "NOM" - North Odd Madison + “LES” Lex Even South • West Side: "ENOS" - Even North, Odd South • Park Avenue goes in BOTH directions 🔹 Streets are simple: "OWEE" - Odd West, Even East 🔹 Building numbers tell you exactly where you are: • 5th-6th Ave: 1-99 • 6th-7th Ave: 100-199 • 7th-8th Ave: 200-299 • 5th-Madison: 1-25 • Madison-Park: 25-50 🔹 Buildings on north side of street = odd numbers, south side = even numbers Most importantly - anything below Houston is complete chaos from 1600s Dutch colonization.
