About us
Pendulum is a Kansas City, MO based architectural practice that specializes in the design and documentation of sports facilities. Our track record as experts in facility assessment, fan experience enhancement, capital improvement planning, and phased facility maintenance support has promoted the economic sustainability of our client’s municipal assets. Instead of designing for the sake of design, Pendulum attacks projects from the vantage point of the operator. Simply put - we are pro-forma based designers, we design with the purpose of maximizing the use of every square-inch of the facility which fosters increased foot traffic, efficient repetitive use, enhanced patron comfort, and increased owner/operator revenue. Our designs promote a lifestyle rather than just a project. Today we're celebrating 25 years of Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball at Day Air Ballpark—our CEO Jonathan's first MiLB project back in 2000 and a catalyst for downtown Dayton’s revitalization. Home to the Dragons and over 1,500 consecutive sellouts, the ballpark is a nationally recognized model for community impact and economic growth. It has received high praise, ranked # 14 among 160 Minor League ballparks and named a finalist in Ballpark Digest’s Best of the Ballparks. The Dragons organization has earned top honors including Minor League Baseball's John H. Johnson President’s Award and Bob Freitas Award, and is celebrated for fan experience, operations, and leadership. Congratulations on Opening Day to our friends & collaborators on your continued success! The Pendulum keeps swinging... We're celebrating 4 Years of Jake McClure on the Pendulum team! Jake joined Pendulum as an intern designer, fresh out of The University of Kansas with a degree in Industrial Design. By the end of 2021, his talent and drive secured him a full-time role, and since then he has been making a lasting impact across a diverse range of projects as our Graphic Design Lead. From product design to graphics, signage, custom apparel and marketing materials, Jake has applied his creative process to everything he touches. Two of his most recent contributions include the Pendulum Motorsports & Oleo Coffee collaboration and the award-winning Meritus Park [home of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars] signage + wayfinding design - each showcasing his ability to blend form, function, and brand storytelling. Jake’s journey into design was shaped by his background in fine art, particularly his skill in portraiture and pencil drawings. That foundation in detail and craftsmanship has fueled his approach as an industrial and graphic designer, allowing him to explore and refine multiple skill sets. Beyond the office, Jake’s creativity extends into his passion for shoe design and fitness, always pushing himself to think differently and stay inspired. We’re grateful for his contribution to the forward motion at Pendulum. Cheers to 4 years and many more to come! #PendulumAnniversary #KansasCity #GraphicDesign #IndustrialDesign #ForwardMotion #KeepSwinging #Architecture #Design #Motorsports #WorkAnniversary #Celebrate Read more news + announcements: https://lnkd.in/ggFwddqn
