"Mexico is an ideal place for festivals like Paradiso and we say it shines for its warmth not only because of its climate, but also because of the warmth of its people. It is a country where hospitality and openness to other cultures combine with a vibrant energy that fosters creativity and collaboration." “México es un lugar ideal para este tipo de eventos creativos y decimos que brilla por su calidez no solo por su clima, sino también por la calidez de su gente. Es un país donde la hospitalidad y la apertura a otras culturas se combinan con una energía vibrante que fomenta la creatividad y la colaboración” Thanks a lot Designaholic ✨Héctor Ayuso 🤍 Muchas gracias Take a look at this small fragment of the #Paradiso Fest x #Designaholic recounting

You’re ready. Not too late. Not too early. Just at the point where it’s time to level up. You’ve done the work. Built a studio from scratch. Delivered when it wasn’t easy. Wore every hat. Took every call. Made it work—even when it almost didn’t. Now you want more. Not just more projects—better ones. More creative trust. Bigger ideas. Clients who don’t just hire you to execute, but invite you in to lead. And here’s the truth: You don’t get to that next level by doing more. You get there by doing it differently. By getting clear on what you stand for. By choosing the right projects, not just the next ones. By showing up like a partner—not a vendor. By saying no to what drains you, so you can say yes to what builds you. You’re not here to stay small. Not here to be the best-kept secret. You’re here to do your best work— with the right people, on the right stage. And yes, it takes guts. To raise your standards. To reposition. To step into being seen as a creative leader, not just a service provider. But if you’re feeling the stretch? The urge to move forward even if you don’t feel “ready”? That’s your signal. You are ready. Ready to back yourself. Ready to build the studio you imagined when you first said, “We’re doing this.” Not everyone gets to this point. But you did. And now, it’s yours to claim. You’re ready. Let’s move. #NOT on sale ——— *Picture of Florian Auger taken by Owen Harvey at Paradiso 2025.

This workshop we run last month in Mérida, Mexico at Paradiso was a lot fun. NO PIXEL ALLOWED. A full reconnection with your creativity!
✂️ NO PIXEL ALLOWED! 🧠✨ Last month in Mérida, Mexico, we ran (with Thiago Maia - Cookie Studio) totally unplugged workshop at the first ever Paradiso Festival—and it was magic! The mission? Create a piece of art using just paper, hands, and imagination. No screens, no phones, no Cmd+Z. Just the good ol’ “&” symbol and a whole lot of creativity. Analog forces you to think, plan, feel, and most importantly—have fun. It’s a creative detox we all need once in a while! Big love to Antalis for supplying all the beautiful paper that made this possible. You rock! 💌

𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨 #𝟓 (𝘔𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 2025 𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 — 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦.) In the end, it’s all about 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. When Thiago Maia from Cookie Studio spoke about it through the lens of his life journey, something truly resonated. The way he described his creative waves and personal process was strikingly honest — and deeply charismatic. I used to believe it was all about keeping the personal and professional separate. About self-protection in the workplace. But maybe that’s a contradiction in a creative life? The next day, David Carson took the stage. His message was simple and powerful: 𝐁𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. Embracing vulnerability isn’t a psychological excuse — it’s a political act, a stance, a life attitude. Especially when you’re a designer — constantly engaging with people, habits, users. Later, I had a conversation with the artist choreographer Agustina Sario, after a yoga class. She had just completed a thesis on dramaturgy in dance, and we spoke about what it means to lead an artistic life considering our context, our age, and our location in the world. In different parts of the world, from Buenos Aires to Nantes, those conditions shape the way we create. And the way we embrace our identity as complex, creative beings with many expressions. Those conditions make us vulnerable. And maybe there are two ways to respond: embrace it or ignore it. Both are valid. But 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 about how we want to live and create — that might be the best way to build something meaningful, and to share it with the world with joy and integrity. As a motto for what’s to come, I’ll keep James Victore’s signature line in mind: "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆." 🙏 Paradiso Héctor Ayuso Marko Pfann Florian Auger Thiago Maia David Carson Agustina sario James Victore #vulnerability #creativity #designerthinking #artisticpractice #paradiso #creativeprocess #integrity #designlife

The biggest lie creatives believe? That they don’t have a choice. Not in the projects. Not in their projects. Not in who the fuck they are becoming. Social media sells you this idea that growth = success. More views, more followers, more everything. But real growth isn’t viral. It’s internal. It’s the moment you stop asking “What works?” and start asking “What’s worth it?” Because here’s the truth: If you’re saying yes to everything — you’re saying no to yourself. Being an creative, even being an artist is a risk. Not a strategy. Not a funnel. Not a f*cking content calendar. It’s a decision to stand for something when the world tells you to chase everything. So yeah — f*ck efficiency. Got out there waste time on what matters. Choose meaning. Build slow. Say no louder. And become the kind of artist/creative people can’t ignore. — *Picture of the legendary Bradley G Munkowitz (AKA Gmunk) taken at Paradiso 2025.

I’ve sometimes hidden my worldview to please others, to avoid seeming cynical. 🔻But when Oliver Jeffers Studio makes children's books, he’s doing politics. Sharp, razor-blade ideas, beautifully shared. When he talked about it at Paradiso he was passionate. 🔻When Stefan Sagmeister explains that the world has never been better than it is today, it’s not common thinking. Even when he’s asked to present that idea to people living in Ukraine. It takes courage. We all need new ways of seeing the world. 🏴 Having a point of view isn’t something you “build” just to make your work interesting. Learn how to talk about it. And those who deeply disagree? You probably don’t want to work with them anyway. ➖If you don’t have a strong POV yet, that’s okay. Keep experiencing life—it’ll come. Make room to it to appear. 🔻 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕜𝕖𝕪 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒 𝕡𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 𝕚𝕤 𝕕𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕥 𝕒𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕪𝕥𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪, 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕒 𝕡𝕠𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕤𝕖𝕥. It will show through in your work—without becoming militant. 🔻 We all need to learn how to talk about our work. Opinions should be about the state of the world (and its chaos), not selfish, design-centered, sterile issues. ➕Who do you consider a great creative with a strong point of view? We’ve all seen it happen: A brand trades its personality for “clean” design and suddenly it looks like every other startup on the block. At Paradiso, Erin Sarofsky gave that trend a name: Sansserification. It’s not just a typeface choice. It’s a loss of brand identity. Let’s keep brands weird. Let’s keep them human. Let’s keep them memorable. #Sansserification

URL to IRL: The Art of Creative Connection. A special live recording from Mérida Yucatán. What if the most meaningful creative work begins not with what we make, but with how we connect? In this episode of Object Subject Form, I sit down with Héctor Ayuso — founder of OFFF and Paradiso — to explore the deeper layers of what it means to gather with intention, and be fully immersed in creative expression. Héctor reflects on his journey from growing a globally recognized festival (OFFF) to creating Paradiso, a five-day immersive retreat rooted in creative discovery, presence, and meaningful connection. He opens up about his childhood, how therapy reshaped his life and why being uncomfortable is necessary for growth. This is a conversation about realigning with purpose. The importance of building spaces that invite vulnerability and how real-life gatherings are becoming more vital in an increasingly digital world. It’s about staying true to what matters, even through discomfort. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your work or uncertain about your path, this conversation is a reminder that creativity isn’t just about what we make — it’s about how we live, who we connect with, and the courage it takes to stay true to what matters.
