Yesterday, we unveiled the new Center for Biomedical Data Sciences, which will serve as a centralized resource for our scientists to help process the hundreds of thousands of data points created through various research projects. 👨💻📈🧬 The late U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe secured $1.9 million to build the center through a congressional community project request. Bice and U.S. Rep. Tom Cole of Moore also were instrumental in the funding request. Separately, the McCasland Foundation, based in Duncan, and the United Way of Central Oklahoma provided grants to help complete the center. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/gGxd2aFr

Today, those same graduates are starting their new careers at Wheeler Bio, Inc. , marking a proud moment for both organizations and the future of biotechnology in Oklahoma. Over the course of five days, participants were trained in key industry practices, including upstream and downstream biomanufacturing, aseptic technique, and cleanroom operations. BioTC’s mission is to equip Oklahomans with real-world, high-demand biotech skills—in less than two weeks. Now, these newly trained professionals are joining the innovative team at Wheeler Bio. Their journey was capped off with a special “signing day” celebration, ushering them into the next phase of their biotech careers. Congratulations to BioTC’s first graduating class, and thank you to Wheeler Bio for helping power the growth of this important industry.
