The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Early Learning Center hosted a Prom in the City event for families. Students and their families danced the night away while engaging in concepts from the classroom such as signs, buildings, and fashion. Watch the video highlighting the event.

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 is excited to welcome Amanda Crossley to Sward Elementary as the Associate Principal for the 2025-26 school year. She brings 20 years of educational experience and will use her multilingual and special education expertise to help a dedicated team of educators continue shaping students into their best selves. Amanda Crossley started meeting with staff members on April 1 and with families at the April 2 PTA meeting. After two years as a D123 Special Education Supervisor, she brings valuable experience in student support, program development, and department leadership. Having spent her entire teaching career at Hometown School, Lisa Vines is deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for staff, students, and families. She has already made an impact in D123 in her Special Education Supervisor position and will continue to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational services across the district. The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 learning community united for an International Cultural Celebration at OLHMS last night. The evening was filled with smiles as attendees tried different foods, dressed in traditional attire, and watched dance performances.
