Queens businesses and economic development organizations are jointly advocating for an extension of the Relocation and Employment Assistance Program (REAP), a tax incentive program that has enabled business growth in the city’s outer boroughs and created new jobs for New Yorkers. Today Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Delancey Street Associates, and NYCEDC announce subway accessibility and housing projects to proceed at Essex Crossing. The accessibility project is to be funded by proceeds from the congestion relief zone initiative to make the entire Delancey-Essex station fully ADA-accessible and deliver 99 mixed-income housing units. 🚁 Today we announced the renaming of the Downtown Manhattan Heliport, now named "Downtown Skyport"!   With Skyports Infrastructure and Groupe ADP as the new operators, this renaming comes after the city's commitment to transform the site from a heliport into a multi-modal hub for sustainable transportation and freight delivery.
