Noon Energy’s vision is a fully-renewable future with energy storage inspired by nature. We’re on a mission to allow the world to run on renewables with our low-cost compact long-duration energy storage. Our compact stationary battery uses the same carbon-oxygen chemistry that plants use in photosynthesis, eliminating the need for mining precious metals for energy storage. Noon Energy technology is robust, safe, and the core electrochemical component of the technology is currently operating on Mars. Initially, we are developing products for the $1T stationary energy storage market, with future applications in long-haul shipping and trucking.

🌎 What an amazing week thus far at New York Climate Week! A few highlights for the Noon Energy team include: 🧪 The Emerson Collective Climate Science Fair on the New York High Line. Chris Graves, Kalee Whitehouse, Anouck Champsaur and Isabelle Kerr loved teaching kids and adults alike about the crucial need for long duration energy storage (LDES) and what Noon is building to solve this problem. A big thank you to the Emerson Collective and New Territory teams for their help with this event! 🔋 The LDES and a Global Energy Storage Target: Essential Components of the Clean Energy Transition Panel hosted by MN8 Energy and Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council). A panel of #LDES leaders, including Noon Energy's Anouck Champsaur, gathered to share insights on the pivotal role of LDES in the energy transition. 💫 The Technology for Load Growth Panel hosted by Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and Emerson Collective. Chris Graves discussed how Noon Energy's low-cost, long-duration battery will make intermittent solar and wind power available 24/7 year-round. ⭐ Exciting news: Noon Energy has been awarded an $8.8 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC)! Noon was founded with the dream to provide clean, affordable energy storage that covers multi-day to seasonal capacity and does not rely on precious metals. We are excited and honored to receive this CEC support to build a demonstration of our novel, long-duration energy storage (LDES) technology. Our demonstration project will feature a 100 kW / 10 MWh system integrated with existing solar PV infrastructure. This system will provide 100+ hours of reliable, sustainable energy, significantly enhancing community resilience and reliability in California. Noon’s technology uses air-abundant elements rather than expensive metals, making it a cost-effective and sustainable solution. This breakthrough technology is the missing link to achieving 100% renewable energy and eliminating the need for fossil fuels.
