Officer Brian Sicknick was a patriot and an American hero who died after the January 6 assault on the US Capitol. To honor his legacy, the Assembly recently advanced AJR215 to designate July 30—his birthday—as “Brian Sicknick Day.” Find the full resolution here: https://lnkd.in/ewTK6fbT

Over the past few weeks, South Jersey has seen a troubling rise in youth violence and community disruptions—from canceled events to fights breaking out at local games. It’s incredibly disappointing that Gloucester Township Day had to be postponed because of this. One recent incident in Egg Harbor Township saw both kids and parents brawling at a ball hockey game. As I said in the video: “We have to be better people. Our children see what we do, and if parents at sporting events are inciting brawls and violence and attacking individuals, what have we become as a society?” That’s why I’m proud to sponsor legislation with Senator Paul Moriarty and Assemblyman Hutchison to hold people accountable and ensure law enforcement is equipped with the training and resources needed to address these incidents. It’s time we lead by example—and work together to bring respect, responsibility, and safety back to our communities.
