Defending human dignity. Opposing sexual exploitation.
About us
The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is the leading national organization exposing the links between all forms of sexual exploitation such as child sexual abuse, prostitution, sex trafficking, image-based sexual abuse, and the public health harms of pornography. NCOSE is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian non-profit that embraces a mission to defend human dignity and to oppose sexual exploitation. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) believes in a world free from sexual abuse and exploitation. We believe every human being deserves the opportunity to live life to its fullest potential: to pursue dreams and ambitions; express creativity and hone talents; seek beauty, truth, and faith; experience hope, joy, and love with family and friends—to thrive. Such a vision requires not only individuals and institutions that work towards its realization but also a culture that embraces its responsibility to preserve and protect human flourishing. We aspire to create that culture. To accomplish this vision of abolition from sexual exploitation, NCOSE operates on the cutting edge of policy activism to combat corporate and government policies that foster exploitation, advance public education and empowerment, and spur united action by leading the movement through the international Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation. Areas of Concentration: *Pornography *Sex Trafficking of adults and children *Sexualization of Children *Sexual Assault and Violence *Child Pornography *Child Sexual Abuse *Prostitution *Violence Against Women *Sexual Addictions and Compulsivity *Sexually Oriented Businesses *Sexual Coercion *Image-based sexual abuse

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, alongside esteemed leaders Kelly D., Rochelle Keyhan, Collective Liberty, Chris Lim, Samantha Healy Vardaman, Shared Hope International, Stacie Rumenap, and Stop Child Predators, were yesterday recognized by Secretary Kristi Noem for efforts to combat human trafficking. This recognition not only affirms the impact of our efforts as a #movement but also highlights the collective progress we’ve achieved in tackling this complex issue. However, as shared with key U.S. Department of Homeland Security personnel in the room afterward, it’s crucial to address the chronically missing link in our discussions and strategies: consumer-level #demand. Sex buyers create the market forces that breathe life into the existence of traffickers and pimps. Simply put: no buyers, no business. While traffickers sell women and children without compunction, it is equally true that men purchase and sexually exploit them with the same lack of compunction. We must confront the fact that our societal norms, cultural attitudes, and economic push and pull factors contribute to the demand that drives sex trafficking. #MassScalePrevention #Article9_5Palermo #DemandReduction U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Benjamin W. Today's Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearing titled "A Time for Truth: Oversight of Meta’s Foreign Relations and Representations to the United States Congress" (https://lnkd.in/eVvnQYWJ) which featured testimony from former Facebook executive Sarah Wynn-Williams, revealed very disturbing details. Big Tech often insists that efforts to safeguard children online—like stopping predators or limiting exposure to pornography—undermine privacy rights. However, today’s U.S. Senate subcommittee hearing exposed that Meta is monitoring kids online so closely, it’s even using their negative emotions to target them with ads. It is time to pass a range of online safety regulations, Big Tech cannot police itself. Just ONE WEEK after the launch of the Dirty Dozen List where we called on Congress to repeal Section 230, Senators are raising the issue in this hearing. Momentum is growing, and the movement is uniquely positioned to call for true mass-scale prevention at just such a time as to make the greatest impact. 🚨 Sexual violence is not a game. It’s a devastating reality and it should never be used as entertainment. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation is calling on Steam(Valve corporation) to immediately remove the game “No Mercy,” a so-called “visual novel” that promotes rape, incest, blackmail, and male domination. This game doesn’t just depict abuse, it encourages players to “never take no for an answer.” It teaches users to sexually assault every female character. That’s not edgy storytelling. That’s a blueprint for exploitation. We commend our allies at Collective Shout in Australia for successfully pressuring Steam to geo-block this game. But globally, including here in the U.S., “No Mercy” remains available—and accessible to minors with ease. Platforms like Steam must be held accountable. They must stop profiting from content that glorifies and normalizes violence against women. 👉 We are calling on Steam to remove “No Mercy” from its platform worldwide and to implement stronger safeguards that prevent the promotion of sexual violence. Join us in standing against the normalization of abuse. 🚨Section 230 is the greatest enabler of sexual exploitation, which is why ending it is the sole purpose of this year’s Dirty Dozen List.🚨 Although it was never the original intention, tech platforms are broadly immune from liability for harm that occurs on their platforms from users’ actions. Without liability, tech platforms have no incentive to make necessary safety reforms to protect their users.💔 In 2023, 1 in 3 minors reported having an online sexual interaction.😡 That is why the 2025 DDL presents a call to repeal Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.💪 🔗Click this link to learn more and find ways you can take action: https://lnkd.in/egCxh3r2 #2025DDL #Repeal230 #NCOSEBlog #EndExploitation

“We’re done negotiating with Big Tech.” In this powerful clip, NCOSE’s Legal Counsel Christen Price explains why repealing Section 230 is the only path left. Big Tech has consistently: – Avoided accountability – Undermined reform from inside policymaking rooms – Allowed misinformation to dominate the conversation They have the power—and the resources—to do better. But they won’t, unless the law changes. Section 230 gives platforms legal immunity even when they amplify, recommend, and profit from harmful content. ➡️ Learn why repeal is essential and how you can help us fight for accountability. 🔗 Dirtydozenlist.org #EndExploitation #BigTechAccountability #Section230 #PolicyReform #NCOSE #DirtyDozenList #JusticeForSurvivors

🚨 The 2025 #DirtyDozenList is here—& we’re doing something different. For over a decade, the Dirty Dozen List has called out corporations and platforms profiting from sexual exploitation. Public pressure has led to major victories at Google, Netflix, TikTok, Hilton, Verizon, and more. But despite progress, online exploitation is only getting worse. 💡 This year, we’re exposing the root of the problem: Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Instead of highlighting 12 companies that facilitate sexual exploitation, we are highlighting 12 survivors who were denied justice in the courts because of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. ⚖️ These survivors were silenced. 💰 The companies that enabled their abuse were given immunity. It’s time for change. Congress must repeal Section 230. 🎤 A huge thank you to our expert speakers, survivors, and advocates who joined yesterday's briefing. Now, we need YOUR voice. 📢 To Take action today visit DirtyDozenList.com #RepealSection230 #EndExploitation #OnlineSafety #Accountability #DirtyDozenList
