“Keep doing what you’re doing,” a 14-year-old girl in Nepal said. “My life is better because of it.” According to the 2023 U.S. Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons Report on India, traffickers there often lure women and girls into their country by arranging sham marriages — including child marriages — to force them into sex trafficking. Many of these girls are recruited from Nepal under false promises of work in India. Instead, what they find on the other side of the border is a life full of violent abuse and sexual exploitation. Our Rescue is working with border police and the nonprofit Shakti Samuha at the Nepal/India border to intervene and stop these girls from crossing into India before it's too late. Now more than ever, more girls need a safe place to go. With your help, we can fund a second survivor care shelter in Nepal—another chance to offer peace, protection, and hope. Please join us and rally behind the cause. Donate today, because somewhere in Nepal, a child's life will improve because of your generosity: https://lnkd.in/g8zp6bV5 Katie Larsen #StopTrafficking #OurRescue #KeepOurChildrenSafe #SurvivorShelter #UrgentNeed

BREAKING: Utah is leading the charge on kids and online safety. A new law makes it the first state to require app stores to verify users’ ages and get parental permission before minors can download apps. Meta and other platforms back it. Apple and Google push back. The debate over digital safety - and privacy - is heating up nationwide. What do you think: vital protection or privacy overreach?

After waking from a terrifying dream in which her daughter was kidnapped and trafficked, Susan Panzica was shaken. Though her daughter was safe, the fear and heartbreak she felt was real. That moment became the turning point. Susan knew she had to act - not just for her own child, but for all daughters trapped in exploitation. Since 2013, she’s been a fierce advocate, founding Justice Network, serving on the board of the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and working tirelessly to educate, empower, and take action. Susan continues to call for one major shift: ending demand. Because when we see every survivor as someone’s daughter or son, we can begin to change culture - and save lives. We’re deeply grateful for Susan’s leadership, compassion, and unshakable commitment to this fight. Read Susan's powerful story: https://lnkd.in/gDkxYEwh

When a desperate father in Peru sacrificed everything to find his kidnapped 17-year-old daughter, he not only saved her but also eight other women trapped in sex trafficking. With the support of Our Rescue, Peruvian authorities conducted a daring operation, infiltrating a nightclub where survivors were forced to live in cramped, dirty rooms and provide sexual services. Daily threats kept them trapped in forced sexual servitude as they struggled to pay off fabricated debts from their human traffickers. Because of one father’s relentless love, eight women are now free. But arresting the traffickers is just the first phase of the survivors' healing. Our Rescue's Survivor Care team in Latin America provided immediate support to the 17-year-old and five other Venezuelan survivors. Survivors need support. Traffickers must be stopped. With your help, we can shut down demand, arrest predators, and free more women and children from trafficking. Join the Fight™. When Sara was a young girl, she was sexually exploited in a brutal trafficking network in Latin America. Her story is one of resilience and bravery. After suffering years of abuse, she escaped and filed a report against the men who had exploited her. Not only did she courageously stand against the traffickers, who were found guilty of their crimes, but she also took her life back with beauty and strength. Determined to get an education, Sara connected with Our Rescue, who helped fund her medical schooling and therapy. To share her story, she wrote to Our Rescue: “What my heart longs for is to be a good testimony for many girls. I want to help others who have gone through the same thing as me and show them that if I could do it, they can too. I want to demonstrate that even when life gets tough, there are always people with big hearts and organizations with incredible values like Our Rescue. Another important thing I want to reflect with my testimony is not only to survivors but also to Our Rescue donors, showing them how they helped me become a doctor... I want donors to see and know that thanks to them, I became a healthcare professional. I can only conclude that without Our Rescue, the new version of Sara- in every aspect - wouldn't have been possible. A thousand thanks for everything. And even though I don't know all the members of the organization or the donors, I hold them all in my heart, and this achievement is not just mine but also yours. The world needs more people like you.” **To protect the privacy of the survivors, this image was generated using AI. #OurRescue #SurvivorCare #Inspiration #EndSexTrafficking

Recently, Our Rescue had the chance to see the Vancouver Police Department and Detective Jake Carlow at work as they executed a search warrant following a cyber tip about suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Funded by Our Rescue donors, Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9 Hota played a vital role - using his powerful nose to locate hidden electronic devices investigators could not previously find. What happens after an arrest is just as critical: digital forensic teams analyze those devices for more evidence that could uncover potential survivors and connections to other predators. “There’s no dollar amount you could put on the lives saved,” said Chaz Balogh, Our Rescue Relationship Manager, North American Field Operations. “To our donors—you made this possible. Thank you.” Jake C. City of Vancouver, Washington #ESDK9 #Operation #OurRescue
