The FSU Career Center launched the FSU Talent Treks program this academic year, bringing students to Amazon, Nammo Perry Inc., Danfoss, Insight Global, and Arrive Logistics. We are so excited to continue expanding FSU Talent Treks to give students amazing behind-the-scenes insight into their desired field while highlighting the National Association of Colleges and Employers Career Readiness Competencies that hiring organizations value! Last week, members of the FSU Career Center team accompanied students on a trip to Tampa as part of the FSU Talent Trek program. During this trek, students visited the Insight Global and Arrive Logistics offices and saw first-hand what it’s like to work at these companies, while also making meaningful professional connections with industry leaders and FSU alumni. Additionally, students and Career Center staff attended a Tampa Bay Seminole Club networking social, where they met with Florida State alumni located in the Tampa Bay area. When reflecting on her experience, student Devin Withrow shared “The trek to Tampa taught me so much and I really enjoyed it. It allowed me to see two different businesses and what they do, how they run, and how I felt about it. It taught me a lot about the possibilities after college.” A big thank you to Talent Trek hosts, Adam Reese and Carly Blythe-Fuhrmann with Insight Global and Alexa Otlin with Arrive Logistics, as well as Tampa Bay Seminole Club president, Katrina Taylor and Julie Decker, M.Ed. with the FSU Alumni Association, for helping to make this trip possible.
