The NACE 2025 Internship and Co-op Report is out this week, offering a final look at internship hiring projections for this year. We found that employers are forecasting a 3.1% decline in intern hiring overall. Its important to note that 70% of organizations plan to maintain or grow their intern hiring programs - signaling continued investment in early talent development. The downward shift among nearly 30% of respondents is primarily influenced by changes among the large companies that have previously hired in larger numbers, now reducing (this is reflected across a variety of industries).
