Congratulations to the 23 companies selected as awardees of the MA Manufacturing Accelerate Program (MMAP). MMAP is designed to support the SMEs who form the bedrock of domestic manufacturing. Today’s grant recipients represent a range of industries including clean energy, food production, defense, aerospace, semiconductors & medical technology. With support from MMAP, these manufacturers are investing in capital improvements that increase efficiency, expand production & improve product quality. Upgrades include automated testing tools, robotics, precision machinery & packaging systems. These improvements strengthen local supply chains, support high-skill job creation & ensure companies across MA can meet the demands of modern industry. Many of the awarded projects include collaboration with partners focused on equity, innovation & sustainable growth. MMAP plays a vital role in helping small to mid-sized manufacturers stay competitive & contribute to the state’s leadership in advanced technology & industrial development. The Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey & the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) launched the MA Tariff Response & Business Operations (MA TRBO, pronounced Turbo) Support Initiative. Through TRBO, CAM is assessing the impact recent tariffs have on MA manufacturers & how the state can provide support.
