The psychedelic movement is evolving — fast. At Psychedelic Science 2025, we’re bringing together the thinkers, doers, and visionaries who are challenging what we know about the brain, mental health, and how we heal. Here’s another look at three speakers whose work captures the multidimensional spirit of this moment — blending science, creativity, and purpose to reimagine what healing can be. MAPS spent decades developing MDMA-assisted therapy as a means to Set the Setting for the clinical utilization of psychedelic-assisted therapies. With the road paved for the next generation of research and drug development, MAPS now stewards the research landscape we helped cultivate. The policies we create today shape the psychedelic landscape of tomorrow. For decades, punitive drug laws have caused immense harm—fueling incarceration, stigma, and public health crises. MAPS is working to change that by advancing compassionate, evidence-based policies that prioritize healing, dignity, and human rights over punishment. Cast your vote for the Policy pillar with a donation of any amount. Your support helps build a future where no one is criminalized for seeking healing. https://lnkd.in/gaG9WVKf

As we celebrate our birthday, we recognize that our work is far from over. Psychedelics are gaining mainstream attention – not only as a medical treatment to help address the global mental health crisis, but also as tools for personal growth. However, shaping a future where these substances are understood and responsibly integrated into society requires sustained commitment across multiple fronts. Let us know which one of our pillars inspires you the most - Education, Research, or Policy. Cast your vote: https://lnkd.in/gS_uwk3D

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Ram Dass—a psychologist, spiritual teacher, and early psychedelic researcher whose legacy continues to inspire.| In the 1960s, as a Harvard psychologist, he conducted groundbreaking research on psychedelics alongside Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner, and Aldous Huxley. However, his journey didn’t stop there. After traveling to India and meeting his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, he became known as Ram Dass and dedicated his life to exploring consciousness, compassion, and service. Ram Dass’ work laid the foundation for the integration of psychedelics and spirituality, reminding us that healing happens in the heart as much as the mind. With the rise in popularity of Apple TV’s Severance, we couldn’t help but notice the striking parallels between the show’s concept of reintegration and the very real process of integrating psychedelic experiences. While Severance explores the unsettling and often traumatic experience of merging two artificially separated selves, psychedelic integration is about consciously weaving insights from altered states into everyday life for healing and growth. The show raises fascinating questions about memory, identity, and selfhood—questions that also arise in the psychedelic experience. Swipe to dive into the connections!
