Our founder and executive director, Joshua White, will be transitioning out of his role as Executive Director—but he’s not going far. Joshua will continue to play a vital role in the organization as Board Chair, a Fireside-Certified™ Psychedelic Coach, and Research Director, leading our ongoing study with Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital on the efficacy of our coaching program. Are you passionate about supporting others during transformative moments? Are you ready for a purposeful experience in the Psychedelics industry? Volunteering on the Fireside Psychedelic Support Line is a meaningful way to give back, join a supportive community, and gain hands-on experience in the ever-evolving field of psychedelics. This is a significant commitment, requiring training, one four-hour shift per week for a year, and a deep dedication to being present for those in need. Key Dates: ▫️Applications Close: January 24 at 5pm PST ▫️Mandatory Orientation: February 25 (9-10 AM PST) OR February 26 (5-6 PM PST) ▫️Mandatory Training: March 8 & 9 and March 15 & 16 (9 AM–5 PM PST each day) ▫️Shadowing & Skills Testing: April–May 2025 ▫️Placement Start Date: June 2025 We’ll be blunt with you, being a volunteer on a Psychedelic Support Line is a significant commitment of your time and energy. Greetings, community! We are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new offering—Fireside-Certified Psychedelic Coaching! This is a new, paid service where clients get to pick the coach who’s right for them from a database of coaches based on photos, bios, and areas of focus. Clients then receive long-term, scheduled support by video from the moment they say yes to a journey until their integration feels complete. Our coaches are AMAZING! They've all gone through a 30-step, 300-hour certification process, which begins with a full year on our Psychedelic Support Line. One of things that makes our coaching program unique is that we train our coaches, hire them as employees, then provide them with rigorous, ongoing supervision based on a clinical model. IInterviews will take place from the end of August to the beginning of September. All accepted volunteers MUST complete a mandatory 4-day online training September 21, 22, 28, and 29, as well as a mandatory orientation on September 17 or 18. Placement on the line begins in October for this cohort. Applications are open to folks living in the US only at this time.
