Earlier this week, the Florida CEO Delegation explored the future of mobility, clean energy, and smart infrastructure. We toured Masdar City, a pioneering smart city built on sustainability and renewable energy, and visited the Technology Innovation Institute to discuss scalable applications of AI and climate technology. We also met with M42 and G42 to explore the intersection of health innovation, data science, and emerging technologies. The day concluded with a visit to Aldar, one of the region’s leading development companies, for a conversation on smart urban planning and real estate innovation. These global insights support Florida’s vision to become a top 3 state for technology jobs and a leader in smart, sustainable innovation. #SmartCities #AI #SustainableTech #CleanEnergy #UrbanInnovation #FloridaDelegationUAE #Florida2030

Indoor air is a clinical risk — and U.S. healthcare facilities need a smarter, safer way to manage it. This recent article from Open Access Government featuring P. Jacob Bueno de Mesquita, PhD underscores what many of us already know: airborne pathogens like influenza, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2 drive millions of infections each year — many acquired in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care settings. Germicidal UV-C has long been trusted for episodic decontamination in unoccupied rooms — but the technology has evolved. With the innovation of Filtered Far-UVC, we can now deliver the same high-level inactivation of airborne viruses and bacteria — continuously and safely, when and where people are present. At Lit Thinking, we’ve developed Visium, a first-of-its-kind Far-UVC system designed for real-time use in clinical environments: ✅ First Far-UVC device to earn UL-8802 certification for photobiological safety ✅ Meets CARB ozone emission standards ✅ Rapidly inactivates airborne pathogens ✅ Continuously reduces surface pathogens like MRSA ✅ Safe for patients and staff — quiet, discreet, and always working Healthcare leaders now have a way to build a robust infection prevention infrastructure with Visium Far-UVC — seamlessly integrating continuous sanitization into everyday care, without disrupting the environment or patient flow. 📖 Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gh8GvWiR 🌐 Learn more about Visium: www.litthinking.com #VisiumFarUVC #InfectionPrevention #PatientSafety #HealthcareLeadership #IndoorAirQuality #UL8802 #CARB #FarUVC #HospitalSafety #222nm

Meet Dr. Janet Price, PhD, Chief Science Officer at Lit Thinking. Dr. Price is shedding light on a critical public #health conversation—how Far-UVC can play a vital role against #measles outbreaks. Measles is highly contagious, and while #vaccines are an essential defense, they’re not a perfect solution for everyone. Some people don’t sustain immunity, and others can’t receive the vaccine due to health conditions. That’s why layered protection is key—and Far-UVC is a proven #technology that can help. In 1941, researchers demonstrated that UVC light could significantly reduce measles transmission in #schools. Today, with advanced solutions like #Visium Far-UVC, we have the opportunity to apply this technology more effectively than ever before. As measles cases rise, it’s time to think beyond traditional strategies and embrace proven, science-backed solutions to keep our shared spaces cleaner. Check out Dr. Price's post below to learn more. #FarUVC #PublicHealth #MeaslesPrevention #Visium
Far-UVC: A Critical Layered Defense Against the Measles Virus We already possess a valuable tool in our public health arsenal that can be deployed widely to inactivate the Measles Virus. In 1941, Dr. William F. Wells demonstrated that UVC light, when used to treat the air, significantly reduced the risk and incidence of Measles outbreaks in schools in Philadelphia, PA. Public health strategies rely on layered defenses—multiple measures working together to mitigate the risk of infection. Hygiene, isolation, and vaccination are all crucial in reducing this risk, but no single approach is foolproof. Vaccination, while effective, does not provide immunity for everyone—some individuals may not sustain the necessary antibody levels, while others may be immunocompromised and unable to receive the vaccine. As recent outbreaks remind us of the ongoing threat of Measles, it is crucial that we take meaningful action to improve infrastructure and reduce gaps in protections, ensuring that our shared spaces are safer for all. Visium Far-UVC and other UVC devices provide an additional, proven layer of defense that can complement these existing strategies.
