Pasadena Village is our most recent $10,000 grant disbursement in support of its continued relief efforts for older adults impacted by the devastating Pasadena fires. “Pasadena Village embodies resilience and community,” said Crysta Krames, LAMVCF Executive Director. “Their peer-led approach fosters dignity and connection for older adults, ensuring the needed shared resources and support through this time of crisis.” Pasadena Village is a vital nonprofit community of over 220 adults aged 55+ who support each other while living independently. Over 90 members were evacuated during the wildfires and 21 lost everything, with 40 still unable to return home. This grant funds a case manager to coordinate outreach and personalized support. Join us in continuing to support wildfire relief efforts and donate to the Greater Los Angeles Wildfire Fund: https://lnkd.in/gTpXrcZV #PasadenaVillage #WildfireRelief #NonprofitSupport #CommunityResilience #OlderAdults #SupportNonprofits #DisasterRelief

We have selected Hope Crisis Response Network (HCRN) for our first grant disbursement of $10,000 to aid fire survivors. HCRN will lead recovery efforts through a resource hub offering coordinated registration and access to assistance for those affected. Opening this week, the hub will streamline fund and service distribution via a secure database, supported by staff and up to 50 volunteers per shift. The hub is expected to assist 20,000–25,000 residents, many of whom are uninsured and ineligible for FEMA aid. "A grant to HCRN will deliver vital support during this challenging time," said Jon Cowan, LAMVCF Board Chair. “We're proud of LAMVCF's role in helping bring our community together to respond.” Join us in continuing to support wildfire relief efforts and donate to the Greater Los Angeles Wildfire Fund: https://lnkd.in/gnTxHR5D
