Komatsu has officially broken ground on a new 215,000-square-foot facility in Mesa, Arizona — a major investment to better serve customers in the Southwestern U.S.! This expansion triples our operational footprint in the area, increasing our ability to support both existing and new customers in the region. "As the copper industry continues to grow, Arizona is at the heart of that momentum,” said Tom Suess, Vice President of Komatsu North America Mining Stores. “Expanding our presence in the Mesa area positions us to support our customers and partners in a region that’s leading the way in critical mineral production." The project is expected to promote significant economic benefits for the area. After nearly four decades of leadership, Rod Schrader will step down from his Chairman and CEO roles at Komatsu America Corp. on March 31st, with full retirement in June 2025. Succeeding him as CEO of Komatsu North America Corp. is Rod Bull, who currently serves as EVP of Komatsu’s North America region. “It has been an incredible honor to lead Komatsu America and its talented team across the U.S. and Canada,” said Schrader. “I am proud of all that we have accomplished, and I have full confidence that Rod will continue to propel the company forward with a clear vision and strategic leadership.” We thank Rod Schrader for his dedication and leadership, which have helped shape Komatsu’s success, and we look forward to the future under Rod Bull’s guidance.
