I’ve read every single cover letter top to bottom. my eyes are definitely a bit sore but, it’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done. the stories I’ve heard, the people I’ve met, some of the most inspiring journeys you’ll ever come across. but the coolest part? that THIS many people want to jump onboard the Kiki ship and try pull off our crazy vision with us?! so thank you to every single person who’s been so vulnerable in your cover letters with us ❤️ i’ve just reposted the job across all platforms so for everyone asking if we’re still hiring, YES WE AREE 🥨🚀🌕 can’t wait to read 1000 more cover letters 🫶 (link to apply in comments)

We just hit 500 matches in nyc since relaunching Kiki.nyc 🥨 11 months ago!!! It’s just insane to look back at that first photo in April last year... For context: We’d just relaunched in April 2024 after failing to launch nyc the first time and tried an approach no one had done before, “what if I personally met the first 120 people for coffee to get into the club?” this meant I could guarantee there are no weirdos and everyone’s been vetted. 2 months later in June I’d met over 120 people for coffee and we opened it up so only those first 120 people could invite friends into Kiki which birthed our invite-only sublet club. Fast forward to 11 months later and we have… - Over 500 matches - Almost 1000 Kikiers - Saved New Yorkers almost $900k of rent This is $900k that just didn’t exist before as people were leaving their homes empty when they were away as they didn’t trust a stranger in their home. And now here we are today, sitting in our office in little Italy looking up at this giant map. We’d been putting every single match and face up on the map but its capacity and we don’t know what to do. Maybe a giant TV with a digital one? Maybe a live one on the website (that would be cool). Thank you to every single person who’s supported us to trying to pull off this crazy vision. No one has cracked this in nyc before and we’ve already had more succes than anyone who’s tried before…but we’ve got a long way to go! Next stop 1000 matches and one step closer to unchaining the world from their rent! Let’s gooooooo Cheers, Toby ❤️

NEW RECORD BABYYY! 24 matches just last week and almost 500 matches in 10 months since NYC relaunch! Kiki.nyc 🥨 is going to absolutely pump this summer, and we can already feel it. What’s super interesting is that it took us 9 months to hit 500 matches in Sydney and 10 months in NYC, so almost at the same speed! A lot of people called us crazy when we turned off Sydney to go all in on winning NYC, but it’s starting to become a reality! This has not been easy, and this city is a freaking hard nut to crack, but the path to unchaining NYC from its rent has never been clearer. But there’s only one thing missing to line us up for an insane summer and an NYC takeover… Our hero of the marketplace hire 🦸🏻♀️ We’re still searching after 457 applications in the past 3 weeks. We have some incredible people going through the process at the moment, but we won’t stop accepting applications until someone is hired full-time, on the boat, sailing into the sunset with us. we just finished reading a job application to join the Kiki.nyc 🥨 team that made us cry. this is what we’re looking for. people with a deep purpose behind why they need (yes, need, not just want) to do this. this is from someone who hasn’t been given a real shot in life yet but took us on a journey through their experiences to where they are today. they didn’t try to sell us. they didn’t brag. they don’t have a flashy career track record or a fancy school on their resume. but bloody hell, they have a why, a deep, undeniable commitment to going all in. to everyone applying and being so vulnerable with us (strangers), thank you. seriously. you don’t understand how much we appreciate it. stories like these mean so much more to us than just a skill set. also, we’re getting a lot of messages asking “are you still accepting applications?” yes, we are. we’ll be taking applications for a long time, so keep applying. link in comments below to apply can’t wait to buy more tissues x

Kiki.nyc is hiring in 🗽 we've been flattered by great applications from ivy leagues, but what has really blown us away are the vulnerable stories from people who have traveled a huge distance to where they are today. they might be making coffees today but are desperate to prove themselves and can have a huge impact on this world if given a shot. 'distance travelled' means "what you have been through in life so far?" often, the more rejection or hardship you've faced, the deeper your 'why' is behind going all in on something. this is what we’re searching for to join us as our Hero of the marketplace 🦸🏻♀️ the people whose resume doesn’t even get a second glance, haven't had an easy run in life but are incredibly capable and they just haven’t been given a chance to prove it. when applying, be as vulnerable as you possibly can be in your cover letter, really deeply reflect on your journey so we can feel your story. link to apply in comments. goodluck, can’t wait to read!
