In times of uncertainty, how do we truly care for our people — while remembering to take care of ourselves as well? 🤝 On April 15, The Equity Lab is hosting the virtual event: You Good? Taking Care of People & Culture in Heavy Times — a powerful conversation on leading with care, sustainability, and justice. Featuring Michelle Molitor & Equity Lab fellowship alums, this session is a chance to pause, reflect, and reimagine what it means to support our teams and ourselves. Secure your spot below! ⤵️
A Conversation with Michelle Molitor In these times of constant transition—inside our organizations and across the world—leaders responsible for people and culture are being asked to hold it all: clarity, calm, care, and direction. On April 15, join Michelle Molitor (Founder and Executive Director of The Equity Lab) in conversation with leaders who are tending to others with care, even as they carry the weight of resistance, uncertainty, and exhaustion themselves. In a moment when so many are stretched thin, this is a space to exhale, reflect, and remember: care is not extra. It’s essential. Together, we’ll reflect on questions like: 🧭 What does it really mean to care for your people in this moment? 🧭 How do we lead culture when we’re navigating uncertainty ourselves? 🧭 What’s the difference between performative care and care rooted in justice and sustainability? This conversation isn’t about quick fixes or toolkits. It’s about embracing a mindset: 👉🏽 Care is not a bonus. It’s a core competency. 👉🏽 Culture is not a program. It’s how we show up. 👉🏽 Sustainability is not selfish. It’s strategy. Whether you lead people and culture, guide teams through change, or simply care deeply about how your organization moves through this moment—this conversation is for you.

DiverseForce on Board’s Cohort 14 attended their second virtual session on Strategic Planning last week with Program Instructor, Joe Moorman. During the session, participants explored and applied the key components of effective, equity-driven strategic planning. The “CAR” framework was centered in our discussions as a tool that can help ensure Clarity, Accountability, and Relevance are incorporated into the strategy work participants may engage in as board members. One participant shared, "I learned so much from this session and enjoyed talking to each of our guest panelists." During this session, the cohort connected with leaders and board members from three Greater Philadelphia nonprofit organizations to gain deeper insight into their strategic planning approaches. Huge shoutout to our guest organizations & panelists - Philadelphia Outward Bound School: Justin Ennis & Claire Robertson-Kraft Heights Philadelphia: Sean Vereen & Greg Anderson The Wilma Theater: Leigh Goldenberg & Jerry Goldberg We look forward to seeing everyone during our Finance & Accounting session in April! #diverseforceonboards #leadershipdevelopment #nonprofitboards #missiondriven #socialimpact #diversityandinclusion
