On 12 April, Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama officially launched the 'Feed Ghana' program—a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing food security and creating sustainable jobs across the agriculture value chain. Local businesses, such as 2SCALE’s Business Champion Rockland Farms, played an integral role in the launch by showcasing their packaged chicken pre-cuts, contributing to the national effort to reduce reliance on imported food products. Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Larkin Martin to IFDC headquarters in Muscle Shoals, Alabama! As a seventh-generation farmer managing Martin Farm in Courtland, Alabama, Larkin cultivates over 7,000 acres of cotton, corn, soybeans, and wheat using cutting-edge innovations and regenerative agricultural practices such as no-till farming and crop rotation. Her commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns closely with IFDC’s mission to develop and scale agricultural solutions that improve soil health, increase productivity, and build resilient farming systems—both in Alabama and across the globe.
