  • How do we find great people? 👀 We asked the person who knows best — Frida Arroyo-Perez, our Director of HR. She’s the one who sees beyond the resumes, hears the stories behind the experience, and helps us bring together teams that feel just right — not just on paper, but on site. From what makes someone stand out, to how we keep things human in a fast-paced industry — her answers were honest, thoughtful, and (of course) a little fun. Hiring’s just one part of it — it’s really about the people, the trust we build, and creating a place where folks actually want to show up. Stay tuned — her take is too good not to share. #PeopleFirst #HotelRenovation #HRThatGetsIt #CultureMatters #TeamBehindTheWork

  • Big news—and even bigger kudos. Melina Garza, has officially been promoted to Director of Architecture & Design at Hotel Rehabs 🎉 This recognition is truly well deserved. She has been at the heart of building our A&D function from the ground up—integrating it fully into our Design-Build process, leading with empathy and precision, and always keeping an eye on the long game. She’s built a team that reflects who we are and where we’re going: ✔️ Driven ✔️ Accountable ✔️ Always learning and improving Thanks to her leadership—and the incredible team she’s built—we have a strong A&D foundation to drive our vision forward. We’re lucky to have her and even more excited for what’s next. #Leadership #ArchitectureAndDesign #DesignBuild #TeamHotelRehabs

  • Great design isn’t just about finishes — it’s about foresight. Our A&D team in Mexico City keeps showing us that. They’re not just picking materials — they’re solving problems before they reach the field. Layouts make sense. Budgets go further. Brand standards hold up. And ops teams? Way less stressed. So we asked them a few real, behind-the-scenes questions — the kind that show why their work really matters: → 🎯 How do you secure the best on-brand design and products for our clients — without losing sight of budget or schedule?  → 🤔 What’s one thing you wish more hotel owners really understood about the design process?  → 🏨 Which project has been your favorite — and what made it stand out?  → 🎨 What’s your favorite part of the design process — and why does it hit different for you? Huge shoutout to Kimberly Jaeger, Alejandro Fernández, Diana Orozco, Sara Mora, and Mariana Moreno for bringing sharp instincts, creative clarity, and serious heart to every project. #HotelRenovation #ArchitectureAndDesign #PeopleBehindTheWork

  • ¡Hola, México! 🇲🇽   This week, Frida Arroyo-Perez, from HR and Kimberly Jaeger from A&D are spending time with our Mexico City team — and the energy is incredible. We’re jumping between big ideas, real talk, what’s working (and what’s not), and plenty of laughs along the way. Grout colors and culture. People strategy and punch lists. Somehow, it all blends — and that’s the magic of having the right people in the room. This is what real collaboration looks like — honest, human, energizing, and full of momentum.

  • Let’s be honest—construction is hard. Not just because it’s technical. Because it’s relentless. ⛔ It eats time—and time eats revenue. One late delivery. One missing sub. One small delay. One unexpected condition… and suddenly, you’re staring down $70K in lost revenue. That’s not theory—it’s real. We’ve lived it. And we’ve learned from it. We build on those lessons to get better every time. ⛔ Guest experience doesn’t pause for drywall. Construction doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it shows up in your reviews, your GSS scores, and your front desk’s stress levels. ⛔ Budgets fall apart faster than drywall. Scope gaps. Site conditions. Late design changes. Suddenly your "approved budget" is a wishlist. And now you’re cutting scope instead of controlling cost from day one. We’ve seen it all—because we live in the middle of it. We carry that load so ownership doesn’t have to. Renovation doesn’t have to wreck your revenue, your reviews, or your sanity. But it does take a team that’s built for hospitality. People who’ve been through this at full occupancy, with real guests walking the corridors. If you’ve ever thought, “This shouldn’t be this hard…” You’re right. We’re not perfect—but we know how to make it easier.

  • Live from the Hunter Hotel Investment Conference Our CEO, Chris Winterhalter, has officially touched down in Atlanta—diving into conversations about hotel construction, renovations, the real challenges owners face, and what actually moves projects forward. If you see him around, say hey. He’s always up for a real conversation—whether it’s about construction pain points, scuba diving, or a great aged rum. 😄 #HunterHotelConference #HotelRehabs #HospitalityLeadership #HotelDevelopment

  • What does it take to turn chaos into award-winning results? This Hyatt House conversion in Colorado Springs wasn’t just another project—it was a brutal project during a brutaltime. But it earned #ConversionOfTheYear with Hyatt. And honestly? That feels pretty damn good. It was 2021/22. Inflation spiked. Costs climbed. Every plan needed a backup plan. Nothing came easy. Huge shoutout to the ownership group Coughlin and Company Inc. for getting a tough deal and an even tougher budget to the finish line. Great people who don’t back down when things go wrong. Everyone loves to talk about how great projects turn out, how smooth things went, how perfectly they performed. This wasn’t that. This was a project full of lessons learned—hard ones. Thanks to Hyatt’s support, an owner who led with trust and grit, and a Hotel Rehabs crew that wouldn’t quit, we got it done. And that grenade transition in the video? Yeah… that one hits a little too close to home. #HotelRenovation #ConversionOfTheYear #LessonsLearned #HyattHouse #ConstructionLife

  • 🎬 Take…5? 😂 We thought we were getting better at this whole social media thing… but let’s just say, it’s a work in progress. Robin Carter and Chris Winterhalter are gearing up for Hunter Hotel Investment Conference in Atlanta on March 18! They’ll be connecting with industry leaders and talking all things hotel renovations. Check out a little behind-the-scenes action (because apparently, nailing a video on the first try is harder than finishing a reno on schedule). If you’re at Hunter, let’s connect! #HunterHotelConference #HotelRehabs #BloopersAndBusiness

  • International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress takes action. 💜 At Hotel Rehabs, we see it firsthand—50% of our team are women, leading with talent, resilience, and innovation. We are honored and grateful to work alongside these incredible women who bring their expertise and dedication to everything they do. But this day is bigger than us. Women all over the world are shaping a better and safer future for themselves and generations to come. To the women breaking barriers, leading change, and pushing for progress—we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you. Equality isn’t automatic. It takes advocacy, fair opportunities, and workplaces where women can thrive. Being an ally means showing up, listening, and using our voices to push progress forward. How can we do more to support women everywhere? Let's ask the question & take real action. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2024 #GenderEquality #Allyship #ProgressInMotion #WeSeeYou

  • Meet the Women Who Run the Show at Hotel Rehabs Who makes sure a hotel renovation actually happens? Who keeps the budgets sharp, the timelines tight, and the projects on track? These women do. At Hotel Rehabs, 50% of our team is women, leading projects from pre-construction to execution. They didn’t get here because of a quota. They’re here because they’re damn good at what they do. 🚀 Spotlight on Our Women in Leadership: 🔹 Madeleine Leritz – Director of Purchasing 🔹 Melina Garza, NCIDQ, LEED Green – Architecture & Design Manager 🔹 Frida Arroyo-Perez, PHR, SHRM-CP – Director of Human Resources 🔹 Kimberly Jaeger – Production Manager 🔹 Maiya Davis Hatch Senior Project Manager, Pre-Construction & Estimating 🔹 Hollie Robinson – Senior Project Manager 🔹 Elise Ecklund – Project Manager, Pre-Construction & Estimating 🔹 Ashley Alarcon – Project Manager 🔹 Diana Orozco Moguel – Project Designer Some come from different industries and backgrounds. But skills translate, and grit, adaptability, and problem-solving are what matter most. We’re proud of the team we’ve built—but we’re not perfect. There’s still work to do. Construction has a long way to go when it comes to diversity, and so do we. But hiring the best people, no matter where they come from, is the only way this industry moves forward. The best teams aren’t built by sticking to tradition—they’re built by hiring the best people, period. Here’s to the women who keep this industry moving. #WomenInConstruction #WICWeek #TeamSpotlight #LeadershipInAction #BuildingSuccess
