What does it take to turn chaos into award-winning results? This Hyatt House conversion in Colorado Springs wasn’t just another project—it was a brutal project during a brutaltime. But it earned #ConversionOfTheYear with Hyatt. And honestly? That feels pretty damn good. It was 2021/22. Inflation spiked. Costs climbed. Every plan needed a backup plan. Nothing came easy. Huge shoutout to the ownership group Coughlin and Company Inc. for getting a tough deal and an even tougher budget to the finish line. Great people who don’t back down when things go wrong. Everyone loves to talk about how great projects turn out, how smooth things went, how perfectly they performed. This wasn’t that. This was a project full of lessons learned—hard ones. Thanks to Hyatt’s support, an owner who led with trust and grit, and a Hotel Rehabs crew that wouldn’t quit, we got it done. And that grenade transition in the video?
