Members of HOM, Inc. attended the grand opening of Osborn Pointe on Monday. Located at 3406 N. 3rd Street in Phoenix, the 48-unit supportive housing community provides fully furnished housing for individuals age 55 and over. The project was developed by Native American Connections. In attendance at the event were (from left) Housing Specialist Brian Olivas, Housing Programs Supervisor Angela Ciavattone, Housing Specialist Elizabeth Pellot, Chief Housing Officer Hayley Winterberg, and Housing Programs Director Marcie McFarlin.

🎆 Important Update: Threshold Incentives Ending 🎆 As of April 1, 2025, HOM, Inc. is officially ending the Threshold incentives program—but this is not the end of our commitment to housing stability. Instead, we’re shifting focus to long-term risk mitigation services to better support our landlords, tenants, and service providers. Over the past few years, these incentives have helped secure homes for more than 1,250 households, with $2.88 million paid out to property owners. Thanks to our strong network of 500+ landlords and 1,350+ properties, we no longer need to rely on incentives to find available housing. The bags were flying, the competition was fierce, and in the end, Housing Inspector Jarrod Brown emerged victorious in HOM’s annual March Madness Cornhole Tournament! Jarrod dominated the Finals with a 23-5 win over Chief Administrative Officer Jesse O. Garcia, reclaiming the title he has now won four of the last five years. In the semi-finals, he faced off against reigning champion Alvin Combs and secured his spot in the championship match. With 16 participants from across HOM—including housing specialists, inspections team members, coordinators, and executives—the single-elimination, bracket-style tournament brought out the best in our team. The event took place in the McKinney Room at our Phoenix office and was also broadcast on Teams for staff in Flagstaff and Tucson to join in on the excitement. Jarrod now holds the HOM Cornhole Trophy, which will be proudly displayed at his desk for the next year—along with some well-earned bragging rights!

Katie Hobbs and Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers to celebrate the grand opening of Centerline on Glendale, Arizona’s first affordable housing community financed through state low-income housing tax credits! Thanks to Arizona’s new state tax credit program, 368 mixed-income homes are now available, providing safe, affordable housing for families, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. With modern amenities like a splash pad, dog park, fitness center, business incubation space, and even an on-site commercial kitchen run by Local First Arizona, this development is more than just housing—it’s a community built for opportunity and growth! 👏 Huge thanks to Gorman & Company, city and state leaders, and everyone who made this project a reality.
