On Monday, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe Manolis Sigalas joined Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Serhii Sukhomlyn, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) President & CEO Irina Paliashvili, and other officials and industry leaders at the USUBC’s Members Meeting in Kiev. Manolis participated in a panel discussion about restoring Ukraine’s infrastructure. "While defense and immediate needs take precedence as Ukraine continues to fight for its sovereignty, the country’s long-term recovery and reconstruction requirements are immense—the World Bank’s latest Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment puts the estimate at an astounding $524 billion over the next decade,” he says. “Even when focusing on immediate and medium-term needs, such as those outlined in Ukraine’s Single Project Pipeline (SPP), the size and complexity are staggering. Building capacity is key for Ukraine’s reconstruction to succeed. This involves strengthening the public sector’s institutional capacity at national and regional levels, while also scaling the absorption and execution capabilities of the private sector. That’s why the deployment of Technical Assistance and Project Preparation Facility programs by international financial institutions is urgent. These must translate into tangible outcomes, propelling the SPP portfolio forward and laying the foundations for broader private capital mobilization and foreign direct investment. “At Hill International, we are committed to supporting Ukraine through its reconstruction. We believe in partnering with local firms, leveraging the expertise of veterans in project management functions, nurturing local talent, and tapping into Ukraine’s renowned tech ecosystem. Our vision is to work collaboratively with stakeholders, aligned firms, and dedicated professionals to effect positive change with a lasting impact.” #Ukraine #Reconstruction #CapacityBuilding #ProgramManagement #PositiveChange #HillInternational

One incredible week of collaboration and innovation! Our workshop brought together a team of industry leaders and staff under one roof to share their ideas, experiences and perspectives. True collaborative leadership and a strong team-building culture starts with practicing ourselves- and this week was a testament to that. There is nothing more rewarding than the work we do and those individuals we get to work alongside. We don't just meet goals. We set the standard. #HillInternational #Collaboration #ConstructionManagement #StrongerTogether #ProgramManagement #Transporation

Poland’s construction industry is entering a dynamic period of opportunity—and challenge. At the recent Executive Club’s Polish Infrastructure and Construction Conference, held March 17 at the Airport Hotel Okęcie, the Hill team, led by Country Manager Lukasz Marcinkiewicz, shared insights on what lies ahead for the sector. Łukasz took part in lectures and panel discussions, including the “Strategic Investments – Polish Construction Sector Leaders’ Debate,” where he emphasized that while ambitious plans in energy, road and highway infrastructure, and rail and transit projects are on the horizon, inflation and labor shortages must be addressed to ensure success. In a recent interview with Executive Magazine, Łukasz further highlighted the key role of the energy sector in driving long-term growth: “Energy-intensive industries, in particular, need affordable and, most importantly, low-emission electricity. This is crucial for maintaining competitiveness in both the European and global markets. I am optimistic about the investment plans of the country’s major energy companies.” With energy infrastructure playing a foundational role, Poland’s construction sector is well-positioned to thrive—provided the right conditions are met.
