Join EBHO next Thursday, January 23rd for their Virtual Lunch & Learn and hear from EBHO Leadership Academy staff and participants about the program, learn how to apply to join the 2025 cohort, and get involved with RUN!
At EBHO, we believe that the people most affected by affordable housing policy should be at the forefront of the housing justice movement. We launched the Leadership Academy in 2015, after hearing from resident organizers that they wanted to learn more about housing policy and organizing skills. Many of our Leadership Academy alumni also participate in Residents United Network (RUN), a branch of Housing California that brings together people who live in or need affordable housing and who believe every Californian deserves a safe and stable place to call home. Through our partnership with RUN, Bay Area leaders have taken powerful action to make sure that our State Representatives vote for affordable housing. Join us next Thursday, January 23rd for our first Lunch & Learn of the year and hear from EBHO Leadership Academy staff and participants about the program, learn how to apply to join the 2025 cohort, and get involved with RUN! ➡️ RSVP at bit.ly/ebho2025

Heritage House and Valle Verde Apartments General Contractor Midstate Construction Corporation, and developer Burbank Housing recently completed #construction of Heritage House and Valle Verde Apartments in Napa, CA. Designed by Gunkel Architecture, this project consists of two neighboring buildings: Heritage House, the #rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the vacant Sunrise assisted living facility into 66 units (58 studio and 8 one-bedroom apartments) for low income households, farmworkers and permanent supportive housing for people previously #unhoused; and Valle Verde Apartments, a new construction, three story multi-family apartment building providing 24 units (12 one-bedroom, 6 two-bedroom, and 6 three-bedroom apartments) of affordable housing made available to #farmworkers and working families. This cozy and inviting neighborhood sits on a 3-acre site in Napa, CA. Amenities available for residents include on-site supportive services, laundry facilities, play structure, basketball court, two community rooms, and multiple smaller residents lounges and spaces for engaging with neighbors and friends. Both building’s all electric services are reinforced with power from #photovoltaic systems. https://lnkd.in/g8H2e2xV

We are proud to have been part of the team working on this much needed affordable housing. We would also like to thank Yang Ming, Rob Meier, Amber Baker, and Byungsung Kang.
Burbank Housing, Abode and our public and private partners were absolutely thrilled to cut the ribbon and celebrate the grand opening of Heritage House & Valle Verde Apartments in Napa Monday morning. The combined 90 units of affordable housing provides homes to working families, farmworkers as well as permanent supportive housing to those who were recently homeless—but homeless no more! A huge thank you Rep. Mike Thompson, State Sen. Bill Dodd, State Asm. Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Napa County Board of Supervisors’ Vice Chair Anne Cottrell and City of Napa Mayor Scott Sedgley for their remarks. An incredible show of support for equitable housing solutions from Napa’s representatives at all levels. Thanks well to our development and service partner for these communities, Abode, as well as the PETER A AND VERNICE H GASSER FOUNDATION, Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, California Department of Housing & Community Development, Enterprise Community Partners, California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC), Chase, Partnership HealthPlan of California, Napa County, City of Napa and Midstate Construction Corporation for their partnership these past two years while these communities were being built. And a special thank you to our Resident Speaker, Donald, for speaking from the heart on what having a home and space to live life on his own terms means to them. #AffordableHousing #Napa #NapaCounty #BurbankHousing2024 #yesonprop5
