Text “GATech” to 415-965-7445 before Wed. at 7:45 p.m. EDT to vote for GT students in the People’s Choice in the ACC InVenture Prize. Aya Samadi, Deniz Onalir, Valeria Perez, and Hayden Johnson are competing with PatchPals, a streamlined, negative pressure wound therapy. The invention allows nurses to take a photo of the wound, outline it, and use software to create cutting instructions instead of the current trial-and-error process. Green Goodbyes is a new free thrift store for students in Tech Square. Instead of discarding gently used items, students can now donate them to be reused by their peers, reducing waste and promoting sustainability on campus. Items that can’t be accepted, like bedding and non-perishable food, are donated to local pet shelters and Klemis Kitchen, the campus food bank.
