We just revealed the X Gran Equator Concept, a bold exploration of elegance and adventure designed for those seeking the serenity of nature and the thrill of the unknown. As the brand's first adventure vehicle concept, the X Gran Equator Concept reimagines Genesis' "Athletic Elegance" design philosophy while embracing the rugged spirit of overlanding. “The X Gran Equator Concept is an exercise in harmonizing contrasts—combining elegance with ruggedness, and the spirit of exploration with refined comfort,” said Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of Genesis. “It represents the orchestration of true off-road competence and uncompromising luxury, designed to enable the discovery of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes.” Inspired by reductive design principles, the X Gran Equator Concept’s exterior emphasizes clean lines and uncluttered surfaces. Inside, the X Gran Equator Concept orchestrates contrast between analog architecture and digital technologies, crafting a space that feels both functional and evocative. The X Gran Equator Concept will be displayed at the Genesis booth during the 2025 New York International Auto Show, slated to open to the public on April 18 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. A big night for Genesis Motor America in the Big Apple! We kicked off the New York Auto Show week with an unforgettable evening at Genesis House, unveiling the stunning Genesis X Gran Equator Concept and our first race car, the GMR-001 Hypercar. The Genesis X Gran Equator concept showcases the brand’s vision to seamlessly integrate the beauty of analog design with advanced technologies – all in a gorgeous offroad-capable SUV. The GMR-001 Hypercar will lead us to Le Mans in 2026, and we can’t wait to get racing here in the United States with IMSA in 2027. We also celebrated two important moments: $3 million in additional grants from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation to 83 youth organizations across the country, furthering the brand’s impact on arts education across the country. And, we announced an important milestone in the development of our retail network, now counting 68 dedicated facilities in the United States. Genesis Magma Racing (GMR) today unveiled its full-scale GMR-001 Hypercar and team visual identity, including livery and race suits, marking a bold step in our global motorsport ambitions. The global reveal of the GMR-001 Hypercar ahead of the New York International Auto Show lays the groundwork for the team’s 2026 WEC debut, culminating in the ultimate challenge: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Building on Genesis’ signature “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy, the GMR-001 Hypercar and its striking livery embody our commitment to blending Korean heritage with motorsport innovation, setting a new standard for creativity on the global racing stage. “The GMR-001 Hypercar, like every race car, is a sculpture designed by the constraints of efficiency and performance – combined with the design DNA of Genesis – the brand with the Two Lines” said Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of Genesis. “The livery is an orchestration of the tension and balance of the distinctly Korean character of the brand with gradients from Magma orange to dark red emphasizing the high temperature of the powertrain.
