Galloway champions our local communities and causes important to our team members. In #NewOrleans, James Morock leads the fundraising and organizational efforts for St. Baldrick's Foundation Day at Finn McCool's Irish Pub. In addition to Galloway's annual sponsorship, this year Drew's colleague Tyler Minick joined him on the planning committee, and Associate Parker Bradley and paralegal J. Steven Roantes attended the event and shaved their heads in support of kids with cancer. While all the funds are being counted, it is estimated that this year's event raised over $42,000 to support pediatric cancer research in New Orleans with grants dedicated to Tulane, Ochsner, and Children's Hospital of New Orleans. Since Drew became involved in 2011, St. Baldrick's Day at Finn McCool's has raised over $1.35 million in critical funds that greatly impact local youth facing cancer. With the Firm supporting this cause, our dedication to local service is one small part of our commitment to go way above and way beyond in the Gulf South and Midwest.

Our #Jacksonville team brought our #NewOrleans history and flair to the first Jacksonville Claims Association Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball earlier this month. Galloway festively sponsored the photo booth and sent Mardi Gras treats - special Galloway lighted beads and koozies. Autumn George, who manages our Jacksonville office, serves on the Board for the JCA. Nicole Fluet and Catherine V. Arpen, Esq. joined in the fun and represented Galloway as well. Our Firm proudly helped to re-establish the Jacksonville Claims Association in 2024 as a Founding Sponsor. From the Crescent City to Duval, we go way above and way beyond in partnering with local communities while promoting integrity and professional ethics across industries. Contact Autumn for more information on the JCA and our services in JAX!

Galloway's Longshore and Defense Base Act team was out in full force for the 2025 Annual Longshore Conference in #NewOrleans. Hosted by Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and the U.S. Department of Labor, the two-day event gathers maritime practitioners and industry professionals for professional development and networking. Galloway proudly sponsored the inaugural Longshore Golf Tournament, which supported the Judge Richard Mills Mediation & Arbitration Scholarship Fund at Loyola. Director Donald Moore hit the links with Jason Lennep, Chad Green, and Daniel Green for a great round of golf and tournament. Francis Waguespack, who has been monitoring the ever-changing landscape of DBA, spoke on a panel discussion focused on the impact of prior claims on settlements. He offered his expertise and insights on the scope of prior conditions and settlements through three recent OALJ decisions. Joining their Longshore and DBA colleagues at the conference were Kathleen Charvet, Heather Angelico, Susan F. E. Bruhnke, Bobbi Roquemore, and Glenn Istre. Our Longshore/DBA attorneys approach each case with dynamic collaboration across all parties to build a comprehensive and solution-oriented defense of each claim.
