It was a privilege to meet with the Housing Partnership of Chester County leadership team: Ken Hutton and Jeff Spencer. The work they are doing—especially to assist elderly residents in urgent need of home repairs to avoid homelessness—is nothing short of vital. We are proud to support their efforts and recognize the profound impact they are making in our community. We were also excited to welcome Jeff Spencer as the new Executive Director. With his leadership and vision, we are confident the organization will continue to thrive and expand its reach. The Foxwynd Foundation is honored to stand beside them in the shared mission of ensuring safe, stable housing for all.

The Foxwynd Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of our first round of sponsorship requests for 2025. As we continue to support impactful initiatives, we welcome additional sponsorship opportunities that align with our mission. When evaluating sponsorship requests, we consider several key factors: 1. Grantee Standing & Grant Performance – We assess whether the organization is in good standing and has effectively carried out its grant, including regular progress updates. 2. Request Alignment – The sponsorship request must be proportionate to the organization’s previous grant funding and align with the scale of their work. 3. Strategic Timing & Mutual Benefit – We evaluate whether the request is submitted in a timely manner and provides meaningful visibility and branding opportunities for both the nonprofit and the Foxwynd Foundation. Additionally, we consider whether our sponsorship can serve as a catalyst for securing further funding. 4. Event Representation – When sponsoring events, we prioritize opportunities where a Foxwynd Foundation board member or team representative can attend and engage with the community. With spring on the horizon, we look forward to supporting outdoor events and making the most of the warmer months ahead. Sponsorship funding is available, and we encourage all current grantees to apply. https://lnkd.in/dEQV6QSa

Strengthening Indigenous Voices: Foxwynd Foundation’s Visit to Peru During her visit to Peru, Gloria Galvez had the opportunity to meet with various nonprofit organizations that receive international funding to support their work. Foxwynd Foundation is interested in learning from these experiences as it seeks to expand its support to international organizations through the newly established Fellowship Program. It was through this effort that Gloria visited Chirapaq, Centro de Culturas Indígenas del Perú, an organization dedicated to promoting the rights and cultural identity of indigenous communities. At Chirapaq’s headquarters in Lima, Gloria met with Tarcila Rivera Zea, the organization’s founder, and gained valuable insight into how their programs operate to create long-term change. Chirapaq runs several initiatives, each designed to strengthen indigenous communities and promote self-sufficiency. Among them: The Indigenous Women’s Program, which empowers indigenous women from the Andes and the Amazon by supporting their personal and professional growth, helping them become leaders and advocates within their communities. The Food Sovereignty and Security Program, focused on sustainable agricultural production using ancestral techniques such as crop rotation, irrigation, fertilization, pest prevention, and food storage systems. The Development of Indigenous Children, Adolescents, and Youth Program, which helps young indigenous people reclaim their cultural identity through indigenous arts and the integration of their traditions into school curricula. These programs, along with others run by Chirapaq, impact nearly 1,000 people in the province of Ayacucho. The organization places a strong emphasis on well-trained leadership, recognizing that structured, well-planned programs can only be successfully implemented when communities have the necessary skills to lead them. Chirapaq has also established partnerships with international organizations like The Hunger Project, which sponsors projects in Ayacucho. These collaborations enable the implementation of structured work plans with a one-year horizon, focusing on practical goals that directly impact the communities. Community leadership plays a crucial role, especially in areas where different dialects are spoken, and illiteracy remains a significant barrier. Education is presented as a fundamental path to promoting progress and autonomy for these communities. Foxwynd Foundation recognizes the value of these international efforts and remains committed to exploring ways to support initiatives that align with its vision for long-lasting, sustainable impact. Foxwynd Foundation Visits Tejiendo Esperanza (Knitting Hope): Empowering Andean Women to Transform Communities Uwchland, PA — In February, Gloria Galvez, a representative of Foxwynd Foundation, visited Peru and had the opportunity to engage with several NGOs dedicated to empowering their communities for a better future. One of these organizations, Tejiendo un Mañana, leads a unique artisanal workshop program for women called Tejiendo Esperanza (Knitting Hope). In a world where cultural and geographic barriers limit access to resources and opportunities, rural communities often face unique challenges in gaining recognition and support. Indigenous communities in the Peruvian Andes, in particular, require support in education, economic empowerment, and skill development to overcome these limitations. The Tejiendo Esperanza program works with over 100 women from these communities, offering training in textile techniques while also providing essential knowledge to empower them both personally and professionally. These women face daily challenges such as illiteracy, extreme poverty, domestic violence, and inequality of opportunities. Gloria Galvez expressed her admiration for the efforts of Tejiendo un Mañana: "The work they are doing not only provides a source of income but also offers a space for growth, allowing the women to acquire knowledge that strengthens their self-esteem and their ability to contribute meaningfully to their communities." The Tejiendo Esperanza program not only teaches the art of weaving but also contributes to improving the overall well-being of the participants and their families. In addition to acquiring practical skills, the women receive educational sessions on important topics such as child health, managing home emergencies, preparing nutritious meals, and family planning, helping them address health issues at home and learn how to prepare nutritious meals for their families. Each organization is unique, but many find that initiatives like Tejiendo un Mañana can advance more rapidly and effectively with the right support from foundations whose mission and vision align with theirs. Foxwynd Foundation recognizes the importance of strategic partnerships and continues to explore ways to collaborate with organizations that have a lasting impact on vulnerable communities. About Tejiendo un Mañana A nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of women in vulnerable situations by driving change, promoting women’s empowerment, generating sustainable income, and strengthening the communities it serves. Its operations are based at the Tejiendo Esperanza workshop. Foxwynd Foundation Donates $100,000 to Support Communities Affected by Hurricane Milton Uwchland, PA – [2/28/2025] – Recent natural disasters, including Hurricane Milton in November, have struck our country, leaving a profound impact on thousands of citizens and reminding us of the vulnerability of our communities in the face of nature’s power. Beyond the fear and uncertainty these events generate, feelings of compassion, empathy, and solidarity also emerge. In the face of these tragedies, it is essential to act—whether through donations, volunteer support, or any other form of aid that alleviates the suffering of those affected. The mission of Foxwynd Foundation is to act as a lifeline for communities in need by enhancing access to key pillars of human dignity and potential, such as healthcare, housing, and sustainable environmental initiatives. In this spirit, we reaffirm our commitment to the communities affected by Hurricane Milton by providing immediate support to organizations working tirelessly to assist victims and aid them in their recovery. We understand that recovery is not immediate; it may take years for cities to return to normalcy and for families to regain the stability they once had before the disaster. In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton in November, Foxwynd Foundation has allocated funds to four organizations playing a crucial role in providing humanitarian assistance. In Florida, we have contributed to: Feeding Tampa Bay and Hope Villages of America Additionally, in North Carolina, we have supported Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM) North Carolina. We are deeply pleased to have collaborated with these organizations, whose efforts have been instrumental in providing immediate relief to those facing critical moments. Through these efforts, we reaffirm our mission to support communities in times of crisis and work together to rebuild a stronger and more hopeful future.
