We are grateful to be apart of the 9th & Navajo Street project located in the La Alma-Lincoln Park neighborhood. 9th & Navajo is a mixed-use development with supportive and affordable homes, uniquely and 1st of its kind, coupled with a primary healthcare clinic. The project is a collaboration with Mercy Housing Mountain Plains, Native American Housing Circle, and Denver Indian Health & Family Services. The groundbreaking was not just a ceremony, it was a celebration! The ceremony opened with a blessing and ground cleansing from Doug Good Feather with Lokata Way Healing Center along with several native dancers. Mr. Good Feather said "We are all indigenous to our Earth, we have a responsibility to it (and you all are contributing to make it better)." Over 15 speakers followed including City of Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, Governor Polis and several other city officials and key financial partners. We are honored to be on this project and what it will bring to the community as a whole. Mercy Housing RATIO Design Alliance Construction Solutions, LLC

As The Colorado Sun reports, The Irving is among the very first developments using Prop 123 funding to break ground. "Many of the people who attended the groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday were the 'original visionaries' who helped create Proposition 123, said Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, who spoke at the ceremony .... 'This is exactly what we hoped, that these state funds linked to local funds linked to nonprofit funds, could help deliver this kind of breakthrough.'" Story by Tatiana Flowers. #affordablehousing
