Our team just came back from PHUSE US Connect 2025, both presenting and learning alongside many incredible teams from across the pharma industry. Here are some of our favorite themes and learnings from the week: 🔹 AI is here—but context and quality are everything. Across the board, we saw that successful AI in pharma isn’t just about model performance—it’s about high-quality, well-labeled data and evaluation. We shared how we’re using AI for clinical data analytics across data cleaning, transformation, and modeling. And just as importantly, we’re validating those outputs with reproducible human-in-the-loop review. 🔹 Validation frameworks are evolving (and we’re helping lead it). From automated visual QC to metadata-driven risk scoring for open-source R packages, the conversation has moved past can you use open source? to how do you validate and trust what you use? We presented on how we’re using AI to support validation workflows such as in-system EDC edit check writing as well as Posit application unit test writing and execution. 🔹 The “data platform” challenge isn’t solved—yet. Everyone is building data platforms for clinical trials, but most are still fragmented point solutions. We showcased our medallion-layered data platform model—connecting raw to standardized to analytical layers, bridging regulatory compliance with flexibility.
