Using a case study on The Tower at Park Lane, he demonstrated HLC’s approach—leveraging a competitive set map, assessing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and outlining key strategies for success. 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐔𝐍𝐂 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧-𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞! SMU graduate students Andrew Allsup, Guy Kellogg, Nick Krauter, and Andrew Lukacs showcased their skills on the national stage, competing against 15 elite teams in the invitation-only UNC Kenan-Flagler Real Estate Development Challenge. This prestigious case competition provided hands-on experience in real estate development, financial analysis, feasibility, and design, with teams receiving real-time feedback from industry leaders. The team competed against some of the nation’s top business schools, including UCLA Anderson School of Management, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Columbia Business School, University of Virginia Darden School of Business, Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, Harvard Business School, Rice Business, Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Texas McCombs School of Business, Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management, and NYU Stern School of Business.
